Okayâ so this is a tough one for me to write. Letâs start with the great: Coffee = chefâs kiss. We had the Cash Money Matcha and the Love Below (both iced). Absolutely perfect. Food = again, no complaints whatsoever.
Now, the atmosphere. What in the chaotic, childrenâs clubhouse hell did I walk into on a quiet Sunday afternoon?? We got there, ordered our drinks, and were chillinâ in the most comfortable seats ever. The music (playing on someoneâs Bluetooth) was a great vibe. Now, this was my first time here, and I had my laptop ready to vibe and work.
First, we were displaced by a DJ who showed up. But, you know, no biggie. We re-settled in some other open seats. The DJ was lowkey (playing lofi and Erykah Badu), so it was cool. Then, this dude comes in loud talking with his daughter, moving furniture around in a very disruptive manner, and then asks us if he can move us. So this is the second time Iâm being moved. Mind you, Iâm very clearly trying to work on my laptop.
He sets up a half dozen chess boardsâ and the children start rolling in. Nowâs heâs screaming over the music (which has switched from lowkey to âTeach Me How to Dougieâ) and trying to teach these kids the rules of chess. Now, youth work is a beautiful thingâ but yâall couldnât warn a sista that this wasnât the day to visit and get work done???
Needless to say, I wonât be back on a weekend. Iâm a remote workerâ so I may give them another chance during the week, but this really soured me. I always support Black-owned, but it went from a vibe to an incredibly loud, chaotic kidsâ rec center in an hourâs time. Super disappointing⊠and I still have a sh**load of work to...
Read moreQuite honestly, I was very disappointed when I arrived here. I am an avid coffee drinker and so when I saw this with, the good ratings, I decided to go pay it a visit to support local and black owned business. However when I arrived, their selection of coffee was limited to only drip coffee which is crazy for a coffee shop!!! I get it, not everyone considers craft coffee as proper coffee because the best is fresh drip but people have preferences and so you should be able to tailor your selection to match other people's tastes.
I don't know how they make their money or why they have so many reviews but they must be doing something right other than coffee. Is it just the merchandise and the atmosphere and the seating that people rate? because the coffee itself was THE MOST EXPENSIVE COFFEE EVER!!!
I simply got a drip coffee with oat milk and lavender flavor that cost me $7.50! And then when I asked them why they didn't have lattes or cappuccino they told me they didn't have a foamer or the capabilities to make it. How do you advertise yourself as a coffee shop when you can't make anything other than drip coffee?!! The only positive thing I'll say here is that the coffee that I did get was really good, very delicious, and very rich, but that's about as far as any positive comments for me will be.
Again I'd like to support small black owned businesses but for this one, they'd have to do a lot more in the coming months to be something that I would recommend to...

A standout moment was when Laurent and Dena, two of the fantastic staff members, introduced us to the âExtra Bagel and Boujeeâ â a dish so exquisitely flavorful, itâs worthy of royalties from Migos themselves!
This dish wasnât just food; it was an experience. Every bite was a delightful surprise, masterfully crafted and presented. It perfectly complemented the premium coffee selections, elevating the entire dining experience.
