I thought long and deep before sharing our experience! BUT Our experience just can’t be ignored the way we were ignored when we attempted to Brunch here at Love at First Bite! We arrived just about 10:10AM 3 couples are already eating and one single individual waiting on her food. The Server, pleasant, but aloof, took my sister’s coffee drink order then walked away…ummm sir I’d like to have a drink (Lavender Lemonade) I never got to order it, Wow! Several mins go by before we had to ask if someone could take our order and if the coffee was on its way. The Server bought over the coffee and apologized he said he was busy wrapping silverware-we saw laughed it off and as we were giving our order he walked away. Didn’t hear a thing, aloof much! Another Server comes over and ask how we are -we say we’re ready to order can you send our server back over. He offers to take our order instead - We order. Another set of people arrive and are seated, drink orders taken and delivered quickly. A few minutes later another set of people arrive and are seated, drink orders taken and brought over by the bartender. Then a couple of guys arrive hug the staff go into the kitchen area, come out a few seconds later and are seated and immediately drinks and food are delivered. The 2nd set of people that arrived after us, are delivered their food. The Chef goes over and sits with the last set of gentleman that arrive and were immediately served. Our Server delivers condiments to their table, etc. deliberately not making eye contact with us. The Server who offered to take our order comes over and ask if we are doing okay-clearly nothing on our table to check on- we both smile and say no actually we’ve placed our order awhile ago and those that came in after us have their drinks AND food! He says oh wow that’s not right, let me check on your food. He walked away and simply disappeared. Several mins later my sister says I’m ready are you? We left 5-6 dollars to cover her coffee and left. It was such a disappointment! Huge, bc we were so excited to have another new Brunch spot with what looked like from the pics good food options, for our social group/team always excited for our recommendation! My Goodness can we as a people PLEASE do better with service and delivery! This is so important and sadly it will be overlooked because hey who are we (my sister and I) This establishment and their team could Careless about the majority sitting and waiting to experience this new restaurant in the community on this particular day. It was more important to ignore us disrespecting and devaluing our time. We recognize the Chef/Owner does not have to respond or explain her behavior and her team’s behavior/actions of their complete disregard for our time or even how we felt having it wasted so deliberately. But I felt a social and moral obligation to share our treatment and experience with...

My friends and I intentionally support Black-owned businesses for brunch, but this was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. Our 11:30 AM reservation didn’t get us seated until after noon—despite the restaurant being mostly empty. Once seated, we waited for the waitress, who never checked if we had questions about the menu options or needed anything. We had to ask for water, and she apologized for that. She was the only server working, so we gave grace and tried to be patient.

It took an hour to get our food, and the restaurant still wasn’t busy. Guests were waiting at the door with no communication from staff on what the holdup was. One woman had to approach the bar just to speak with the “manager”. I noticed a guy bussing tables and using a cardboard box lid to gather the dirty dishes and another person in the back, likely the cook.

The food was underwhelming. I ordered a French toast sandwich missing the bacon. I also got steak, which was salty! The potatoes were partly raw. My friend and I ordered limoncello martinis, which tasted like lemonade. Another friend’s Crown Apple drink also lacked any alcohol taste.

When the bill came, the bacon was still charged although the “manager” said she would remove it from the bill. I informed the waitress, who turned out to be the manager, said she couldn't remove it. I asked for the bacon since she couldn’t remove it from the bill! It came out soft, greasy, and barely cooked. I refused to eat it and let the manager know it was unacceptable. She offered to refund the bacon and the surprise 18% gratuity (for 3 people!), but later said the owner wouldn't allow it. The owner finally came out—friendly but defensive—and offered me a card to return. I declined. At this point I’m thinking, why is she not out there helping the waitress/manager/bartender! The owner offered to remake the sandwich, which I accepted just to give it to someone in need. The refund was not acknowledged at all.

I tried to be patient and supportive, but the lack of service, poor food, and failure to resolve a basic billing issue was unacceptable. If you’ve read this far, take my advice: don’t waste your time or money. Everything that looks good, doesn’t mean it’s good. I drove 30 miles...

My best friend wanted to try out the place so we did. The wait time to be seated was 25 minutes, but that wasn't usually. Our waitress greeted up and brought us glasses of water immediately after we were seated. I ordered the waffle with chicken breast along with a house salad. My friend ordered the pancakes with banana pudding ($20.50) along with eggs and bacon. The eggs and bacon was an additional $4.00. I must admit that the salad was delicious but the portion size was extremely small for $8.00. Our food took an extremely long time to come out. My friend received her food first. I received my food about 20 minutes after she received her food and she was almost finished eating. I had to ask two times about my food and was told that they were waiting on the chicken tenders. My food was served by another person other than our waitress which is not uncommon but you will see why I mentioned it later on. My food was good but my friend said that the pancakes tasted like dough and the eggs were very runny. She didn't eat the egg after taking one bite. She informed our waitress about the eggs and received an apology but was not offered to replace the eggs or remove it from the bill. When it was time to pay a third person came to our table. He informed us that a 18% gratuity was already added to the bill but to understand that they all had to split it. I can only assume that he meant himself, our initial waitress, and the man that brought the food out and was trying to get us to leave an additional. I didn't want to pay the required 18% so I definitely was not going to add an additional tip. Even though I enjoyed my food the service needs a lot of improvement. Our glasses of water were never refilled nor was an offer made. I was not informed about my food until I asked twice. Most of the staff was walking around aimlessly and on their phones. Other patrons were complaining about the taste of their food and wait time for their food. I only gave the rating of a 2 because I enjoyed my food but all of the other aspects of the experience was not good and needs a lot of...

I saw this restaurant on tik tok and thought I would try it while I was in Atlanta. I so disappointed and aggravated during my visit to this restaurant. We first arrived at 2:30p and there was a line and a wait even though the restaurant was d*mn near empty. We waited 30min for a table and was greeted with a nasty attitude from the hostess. When our table was ready he literally said and I quote “Come on” and threw some menus on the table. It then took like 10mins for us to be greeted by anyone. Once our waitress introduced herself she tried her absolute best to salvage our dining experience but it still wasn’t enough. Shortly after taking our order she came back to the table to inform us that the order did not go through. However, she did offered us some Halloween candy and free shots while we waited for our food. We waited an hour to get out food the table next to us finished their appetizers and entrees before we got our food. I ordered the french toast which was okay I’ve had better french toast but the blueberries and raspberries on top were really good. The breakfast potatoes were delicious very crispy and flavorful. The gouda cheese grits were absolutely disgusting. I love grits and was looking forward to trying these so it broke my heart that they were so bad. The texture of the grits were lumpy and they lacked flavor. Also, they seemed cold like they had been sitting. Overall I think the service really makes me not want to come back or recommend it to others. The service is what brings folks back and I hope that this establishment improves their service for the sake of longevity.

I love this black owned restaurant , quaint with a nice and ambience and I love that they have a black owned coffee shop downstairs as well. The servers were very friendly. The food was delicious. I had the fried catfish and grits. Loved every bit of it. Just a quick reminder to out of town guests like myself , when you order ice tea just know it’s gonna be sweet tea lol I wasn’t ready. I do recommend and I will be back to visit when I’m back in town.

2/2/25 2:30pm - I decided to have brunch waiting for my son to have his senior lunch brunch at this establishment. After spending almost an hour to get a grilled shrimp Poboy with smoked Gouda grits on the side, left me with a unsatisfiedexperienced. I had a French 75 which was not a French 75, but gin with sparkling something foreign that was garnished with a pineapple. I had a lemoncello martini, which is a spin for a lemon drop, which was a heavily sugary lemon syrup that left my stomach upset. The staff at the bar and waiter, were nice. Unfortunately, before I could get finished with my grits one of the managers asked to remove my plate in a manner of rushing me because the place was about to close. I quickly finished my drink and allowed her to take the plate because I felt unwelcome and disencouraged to take my time and enjoy my food. I personally will not be back, but an employee stated that Sundays after 12 is chaotic as well as on Saturdays, the best time to come will be in the mornings at 10 on a Friday. The Gouda grits were undercooked, and the cheese was not fully melted. The grilled shrimp were slightly undercooked, and the french fries were undercooked. The entire meal felt rushed, and I am entirely disappointed in my experience and will not be back. There are too many brunch locations in Atlanta to return.
