I come here often. The okra soup is amazing. I brag about so much that last Saturday I paid for 4 orders with extra meat and fufu. My sister was there as well and she ordered the same thing. Normally adults are working but that day it was teenagers/young adults, so the service was horrible! The young lady working said it was not enough okra soup for all our orders and it will be 30 minutes until a new batch is ready. We paid and kindly left and came back to her saying another 20 minutes. We were irritated and hot, yet we waited. We weren't offered anything to drink for our wait nor did anymore people come in to help her on such a busy Saturday. Now it's over an hour and other customers are coming in yelling about the wait time as well. That was very uncomfortable to witness but we understood the anger. Our food is finally ready and our container were full of oil and not the extra meat that we paid for. The oil made a total mess. I asked the young lady where is the extra meat. She said I only can give you what I had. I said no ma'am, that's not how this works. Either give us what we paid for or refund us. We didn't wait all this time for a container of oil and fatty pieces with no meat on it! I said it should not be an argument. You should be more than accommodating since we were kindly waiting!. She went in the back and brought out what we thought was our extra meat. It was mostly bones. I was so pissed off i had to walk away. I couldn't really say what I wanted to because this is a child to me. We did not get my usually awesome okra soup full of orka and meat. I will call before I come back here to make sure some adults are working...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT ORDER FROM HERE Just in case you were trying to get information on Nema's West African Kitchen, I was made aware that THIS IS NOT THEIR PAGE. I called the number listed, and someone answered and took my order, then when I arrived to the restaurant and had my Salmon order rang up, it came out to $5 more than what was listed online. I calmly explained this to the cashier, at which point he called the lady who took my order to the front. The lady then scoffs and addresses me, saying "oh that is not their page," at which point I turned my phone to show them again, her reply was that "someone put that up...that's from years ago," in an argumentative tone, as if I was trying to scam them. They made no accommodations for this error, but then again, the error MUST be on my behalf for searching on Google, then calling the number provided on the Google page that is apparently not theirs, and they have no access to it whatsoever. So just save yourself the time, don't use any info provided here. I would say don't eat here at all because if that's the customer service and attention to detail then I could only imagine the food, but I literally can ONLY imagine it, because I left without the food, as they were unwilling to even give me a discount to get closer to the price...
