Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Atlantic Beach

Good ice cream but can tell they do not clean their ice cream machine thoroughly at correct intervals as I had a few lumps in my ice cream but no ice crystals. Service was slightly rude but nothing blatant to record. I got slighted on my serving by the voiceful customer service rep as it seemed he was trying to rush patrons out when there was no customers in line. He kept saying there is a bus of 80 kids on its way so I would advise making your purchase now, even though we were the only ones in line and customer service is "one customer at a time".

...I just noticed this review I left quite some time ago and not knowing the area that well left the above review for the incorrect DQ! The above review was meant for the DQ at the stoplight leaving the island from the Atlantic Beach side! My apologies for the confusion. This particular DQ, I had the pleasure of visiting in July and have to say...this DQ has it right! We stopped in late one evening, the manager was so funny and an associate that was with her was equally as entertaining! Ice cream was very good also! Overall a very good experience! Changing my rating to 5☆ based on my actual experience and incorrectly rating this...

We ordered a white cake with pink icing and the note "Happy Birthday Victoria" here for my daughter's 4th of July birthday. When we picked up the cake the icing was pink and the cake was white but clearly they made a mistake and did a poor job fixing it. It appeared to us that something was written incorrectly and they tried to scrap off the icing; however, it left the pink smear and grooves in the top of the white icing. The photo was taken right after we picked it up on the way to dinner and it was too late to get it fixed. We typically use the particular location every year for her cake because we are always in Atlantic Beach for the 4th celebrating her birthday with family. This is the first time it has happened but given a special occasion we expected more care...

I don't usually leave bad reviews. I try to find at least some redeeming qualities in a place. Alas I am left with this. The roasted chicken bites that we ordered were so terrible me and my co worker could not eat them. When I went up and told the woman who was working about then she just casual saksed me what I expected her to do. I have managed a burger King and a McDonald's. At either one of these a refund or at least a promise of a future visit on them would have been in order. She offered neither. She was very unprofessional and unhelpful. The ranch sauce that they served us was almost like jello. When asked she told me it was homemade. I have never been to a chain restaurant that had homemade anything.
