I entered Chen's today to pick up my call in order. I walked in and stood beside a young man paying for his order. Once the cashier finishes with him, she walks off. I said, "Ma'am. Ma'am. I am hesr to pick up my order." She looks back at me and then continues to sweep. So, a man and two ladies gets up from their seats and comes to stand beside me at the counter. She reaches for his tab and money. He points at me and says, "She was here first." I was furious. She looks at me with an angry face. I told her that I was here to pick up my order. She tells me my order, did not ask me, and then tells me my total. I have never been treated so unfairly as a customer. I checked my food and say that it was wrong. I asked for a refund on a couple of items. She was so upset. But, I had witnesses, the man and the two ladies, so she had to refund me. Well, I got in my truck and thought about it. I was not going to let her treat me like that without telling her about how I felt. While still sitting in Chen's parking lot, I called her and told her. But, unlike her, I was kind about it. Chen's received my last hard earned money today due to customer neglect, awful service and terrible food. Itold her that I would share my story. Then to top it off, my husband said that the food was horrible. I always cook, but too much has been going on this week. I was mentally and physically tired. But, if I am ever feeling this bad again, I bet you I will cook instead of going to Chen's. HORRIBLE LAST TIME...
Read moreThis is a fairly small buffet compared to others around, so you don't get all the premium options (crab legs, sushi, etc.) you typically find at bigger Chinese buffets.
But for a quick meal, it's not bad. Not the best, but for a buffet, its decent for its size. They do seem to make a good effort to keep the buffet stocked unlike some places. So that's good.
One of my complaints though is that they charge more for dinner, yet there really is no difference in the food served. Getting charged more for the premium options at places like Kings, or Chow Tyme at least makes sense. So if I go, I do prefer to stick to the lunch service.
Service is usually good and they keep my drink refilled.
They do have their kids running around the place sometimes. For the most part, they aren't too distracting, but the other day I did watch one grab a wet rag to wipe a table he was eating at, but was slinging it around a bit much. Possibly slinging dirty water around. It's good if hes cleaning up his own mess, but he's got to watch the slinging as it could negatively impact guest. Someone also left a cleaning rag sitting on the buffet counter for quite a while. I'm not positive, but i can see that being a...
Read moreI didn’t want to give it 1 star as to this place overcharging I got a buffet to go and I only got one scoop of rice one scoop of lomein a corner of shrimp and the peanut butter chicken I was charged $15.35 and when I asked why it was so much the lady asked did I get shrimp and I said yes and she said that’s the reason but the shrimp I got is not even worth that so as I’m talking to the cashier another employee told her to go ahead and charge me because I told the cashier I didn’t want it because that was too much for a plate you barely fit anything on and when I told her to give me my card back she went ahead and charged my card and I do not appreciate her running my card even when I told her I didn’t want it anymore and I have been here plenty of times and got shrimp off the buffet and was never charged that amount and I will be reporting this to the better business bureau and I will not come here...
