Crossroads Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Attica

Stopped to eat while traveling back home thru Attica. Ordered from the lighter side, asked for a bowl of soup and was given a cup, when ordering sandwich i asked what kind of bread can I get, waitress said first a croissant, so right away I replied ok. Should she have known the menu since I asked for a bowl of soup, did I want the lighter side or the meal? Then immediately upon delivery of the food left the ticket, noticed it was not the lighter fare pricing so I asked about that when paying. The cashier looked at menu and said yes that price is right. I responded with it not being price on the lighter side menu. She said because it is hot. I said no where did it state a hot sandwich and I did not ask for the fries making it a meal. Waitress apologized two times to to us for not bringing refills and for not taking order quick enough. Lots of standing around and talking though. We respectfully left a tip but dont suggest eating here if you want good service from anyone. So frustrated I did not notice we were over charged $10 till we...

** Update: I had originally rated Cross Roads a 5 star per my comments below. Today, February 8, 2023, my husband and I stopped in for a coffee and dessert as there were only 6 cars in the parking lot. We were excited that we beat the dinner rush! We waited while 4 waitresses stood in the beverage center talking. A couple of them were getting soup, but there were less than 12 people in the dining room. 2 waitresses walked by and looked at us but never acknowledged us. We waited approximately 5-6 minutes and then decided to leave. We have NEVER felt neglected or overlooked like we were treated today! Extremely disappointed!!!

The food is Bland. Much like MCL or cafeteria food. Customer service is all right. I have ordered from here a handful of times just to eat outside of the house every once in awhile. This last time they gave my large order to somebody else and had to remake it while I wait. There was no compensation or apology given. They were very busy. I understand the wait. However, my food had been ready and the poor woman couldn't even go get it. So it sat back in the kitchen getting cold. I don't even live a block away and there was cold condensation all over the food from it being hot before. Then on my way out there was an older woman heading with bags of food telling me to make sure I got the right order. 🤣 it wasn't the best of trips that day. The other times they had it ready to go when I got there. Still kind of warm.
