If I could give ZERO stars I would!!
We were here on June 3rd. We were honoring my sister's birthday. She passed in October. My dad and brother had whitefish. It was mostly breading with very little whitefish inside. My sister and sister-in-law had the smaller size of prime rib. It was their special that night. It was thin and very tough. The knives provided wouldn't even cut it. It looked quite butchered by the time they could get it cut to try to eat it. My husband ordered the pulled pork BBQ sandwich. He couldn't tell it was pork, beef, chicken or dog because it had so much BBQ sauce. Myself I had chicken liver. They were very over cooked and tough. Some of us had soup as well. The broccoli soup was really good as was my baked potato. We had 2 order potato soup of which they were out. Those were switched to vegetable soup, 1 eaten there other to go. We didn't get the to go one. We failed to remind the waitress with all the frustration of our visit.
We were brought a bowl of hockey pucks that was served as rolls. Couldn't eat them. My sister-in-law wanted onion rings. Waitress asked if she wanted the Robie's onion. It was understood to be Robie's onion rings not a blooming onion. It was very greasy as were my husband's fries and the whitefish. The waitress did ask how our food was. She was told about my liver and the prime rib. She offered to replace but we decline. As long as it took to get what we had we didn't want to wait even longer.
Service was extremely slow. Our waitress was really friendly but didn't get in a hurry. My dad at 1 point got up and went looking for her. It took quite awhile for our food to come out as well. After testing the food and very disappointed in our meals it became the consensus of the table, the food must've came from the other "family restaurant " in town and served to us. If you are from Attica you understand that statement.
I called the restaurant the next day and left a message for Mr. Criswell to please return my call along with reason for my call. That phone call was never returned.
My final thought......if you go out to celebrate and choose a more expensive restaurant, you expect wonderful food and great service. Another consensus of our group is we will not be back or will recommend.
Very, very...
Read moreAt first this would be a 4 star place for food and service. Food is usually great with people that usually care about the patrons. I've had great service but unfortunately I've now been on the other end. The last meal was a mess when we got home. Tenderloins, fries and cheese sticks were all over cooked. It was as if it was all thrown in a basket and cooked at once. Centers of the cheese sticks was all over everything and the tenderloins was impossible to eat. When I called to inform the manager on duty I was assured all would be taken care of. I left my number for the owner to phone back but never got a call. Week later we decided to call and have our order corrected however I was told she would have to phone Robie (the owner) to confirm and I would get a call right back. 30 mins passed by so I decided to call once again to see of the outcome but to my dismay she had not yet called the owner. She guaranteed me she would phone him as soon as we hung up and call me right back. It's been over a hour now with no return call. Quite frankly, I'm appalled at how a establishment that holds such rank in town could let a family down. If I ever do receive a phone back or my order replaced I'll be sure to correct this and make things right just like I...
Read moreMyself and a group of several friends met up to catch up for the holidays the day after Christmas, a total party of 8. We arrived around 7PM, sat in the newer section of the restaurant, & everyone ordered food and drinks. At 8:50PM they shut off the TVs and music. I attempted to order another drink at 9:15PM and was told the bar was closed. At 9:20, a gentleman began mopping the floors in the bar and the area we were sitting in. At 9:30PM we were asked to leave because they were closing early, meanwhile online it states they close at 10PM. As a group of young women just wanting to catch up in our small home town restaurant/bar like we typically do during this time of year, I was completely appalled and frankly disgusted by the actions of the staff. The new motto of this town is “Make Attica Great Again” however, the actions of Budreau’s customer service is why so many Attica resident go out of town for services. I can’t speak on the food as I didn’t have anything to eat but the prices for drinks were affordable and our waitress was kind. Needless to say, for someone who doesn’t live here anymore & comes home for holidays to see family & visit friends, it is unfortunate this was my experience....
