I’ve been wanting to stop here for some time with high expectations as I really enjoy roast beef and chicken wings. Let’s see if I can get on base.

Really loved the counter staff. They were super friendly, gave explanations on questions about menu items, and brought the food to our table with a smile in reasonable time and asked if there was anything else we needed. They also serve beer and wine that you get at the counter and give you cups of water. Ball one.

The menu is one of the most expansive I’ve seen anywhere with a variety of unparalleled options, but somewhat overwhelming. Ball two.

The clam chowder would be described as a garlicky and heavily salted potato chowder with a few barely noticeable tiny bits of clams. It was the thickest chowder I’ve ever had. Not my taste preference. Strike one.

The chicken wings have what seemed like a very light breading on them, we got the mild sauce, asked for them to be cooked extra, extra, extra crispy and they were definitely not. They understood the request and it was listed on the receipt, but the meat was rubbery and just this side of pink on the inside. I don’t know how people enjoy wings barely cooked. Strike two.

The 1/4 pound lobster roll had lobster that was prepared right, on a layer finely shredded lettuce, on a nicely buttered and grilled bun and enjoyably easy to eat. I definitely recommend getting this, in fact getting the twin option would be outstanding! Ball three, full count.

The music didn’t vibe with the environment, was unexpectedly a random mix of reggae, island tunes, yacht rock, and banjo picking unplugged country and worse it kept cutting out and coming back on. Foul ball, I’m still alive.

The super beef combo platter comes with uncommon, but appreciated duo of both fries and onion rings as well like both of those sides. The rings and fries were marginally acceptable. The roast beef bun nicely buttered and grilled. The roast beef wasn’t hot, or warm, maybe better described as cool, and the texture on the dry side that the horseradish drizzle tried to make up for however was viscous and extremely lacking in the horseradish department. The flavor of the roast beef meat itself was pretty good, but the temperature, dry texture, and horseradish gravy was unenjoyable. Strike three, I’m out.

The place was clean, with plenty of seating options, including uniquely the seats up front from Fenway, but I don’t think I’ll be getting back up to bat here as it was a major league disappointment for me. There’s a taste and preparation preference for everyone and it just wasn’t a hit for me, but it’s worth coming here to give it a shot to find if it’s right for you, and whoever finds it to their preference is important as we should be supporting...

My bf and I have been a long time Customers of major league roast beef for 10 plus years since they been opened and he always ordered the super beef sandwich and he always enjoys it. However, today he ordered the super beef again and when I got it. The roast beef was completely well done , highly not cut today cause it has colors of rainbow. . Then I asked for grilled onions and there idea of grilled is red onions that are not grilled. Spoke to the manager about this and she indicated she will not do anything to resolve this issue: Very disappointing that we have been coming for 10 plus years to be treated this way. Also, the roast beef has always been consistently medium cooked not well done.In the managers words “Supposedly it is cut fresh every day and this is the way it comes well done unless you specify” But again I have never had this issue since I been coming here since they been opened , until today. but that maybe true . Either way terrible the fact is that she didn’t even offer to make me a new sandwich is completely absurd to me. Maybe this is the new way they do their roast beef sandwiches. My sandwich again has colors of the rainbow. Anybody that eats roast beef on a regular basis will know what this means. I will not be coming here again because of the managers attitude towards this issue. Terrible Customer Service...

First time here, the woman taking orders reminded me of the stereotypical cashier from a dreaded cafeteria you would see in a comedy movie. She just needed the hair net. No greeting, no hello, no smile, no personality. The face of your company should be better than that. The food selection is huge. There is something for everyone. All types of sides as well and a big jar of pickles that looked like floating poop. Not appetizing at all! The decor is lots of hometown sports teams paraphernalia. We ordered the large roast beef sandwiches with cheese and sauce. I did not notice they served beer until it was too late. We were given our order number and that's it. We noticed the people after us went to sit after they ordered. We figured, ok, we will sit. A young girl (another person on auto-pilot, went around delivering food. She seemed to know where it was going except for our table, she yelled out my name (which was asked when we ordered). 7 years in Central Massachusetts and still had not found a decent roast beef place. The sandwiches were delicious! Toasty buttery bread, good ratio of sauce to beef. The fries/onion rings were standard. People kept staring, not sure why. We will definitely return for the sandwiches but we will...

Definitely an extremely average Roast Beef. Maybe it was my timing of the day? Late afternoon. The meat was mostly darker than pink throughout the sandwich. Cheese wasn’t at all melted, and sauce to meat ratio was more on the dry side. Beef to bun ratio had me eating more bread than beef at the end of my sandwich. Bun was toasted okay. That was probably the highlight of the experience. Wasn’t my best beef, wasn’t my worst. Wouldn’t recommend unless it’s the only place open or accessible and you NEED a beef. Also ordered mild wings. They were decently sized. I’d prefer them more well don’t than what I received. The skin was.. not soggy..but not crispy. Not a huge deal, mistake on my part for not ordering correctly. The meat wasn’t dry, which was definitely a plus. Would try those again as long as I ordered them well done. Note: don’t let the lettuce on my sandwich confuse you. I enjoy texture. I’ve had many beefs.

OMG... When we stopped in Auburn, MA for gas returning from Maine, I asked a local where to go for decent food. That's when my normal travel route changed. Because we discovered Major League Roast Beef and Wings. The yellow brick exterior with nice patio doesn't prepare you for the luscious fare inside. We asked the woman at the counter for recommendations and she guided us to the roast beef, made in house. We each got the "senior beef" meal thinking we'd take it in the car to go... Ohhhhhh no! Think tender, juicy, loaded onion roll with the most extraordinary roast beef, cheese, horseradish and bbq oozing out of every mouthful. Plus, hands down the best beer battered fries I've ever had. Plus equally scrumptious onion rings. OMG. I'm glad we opted to eat there and I'm SO glad we found this place. The menu is massive with many other choices so we look forward to being back as soon as we can! Thank you!
