The kind of hidden place you'd expect to be a real gem serving classic, all-American breakfasts and bruch/lunch offerings, however, after the waitress impatiently kept checking on us to order while we decided (which took a bit as it was our first time there and we were hungry) she afterwards was nowhere to be seen while we waited exceptionally long for our food. When she was checking on others, she only came back to us if we flagged her down. She never came back to apologize for the wait or to check if we needed more water or coffee, which I went through two mugs of casually sipping while we waited. When taking out my utensils from the napkin roll-up, they were covered in gunk and I had to ask for new ones. When the food finally arrived, it looked good until we tried it. My girlfriend and I both got the steak and eggs, but both of our steaks were as tough as shoe leather and cooked to medium well even though she ordered medium and I ordered medium rare. The food was cold, my hashbrowns weren't cooked, and the pancake was dry. The bacon was the only thing that was good - but still not hot enough. They brought me more hash browns (which were better but not great) and an extra side of bacon at my request since my girlfriend was not going to eat her steak. I suffered through my steak and eggs and drowned the pancake in a 'gallon' of syrup and then halfway through my steak I found a hair in it that was not either of ours... enough said. It's a real shame because when we walked in, everyone was smiling and laughing and having a good time and it felt like a good place and exactly what we were looking for on a cold, rainy morning after a night out, but it was a disgusting disappointment. I'm giving two stars instead of one because they did comp us the meal and did apologize for everything and I don't live in the area so I won't be going back - but I wouldn't even if I could. I try to give places the benefit of the doubt on my first time but this was quite an unfortunate visit that can't be...
Read moreI arrived at 8:50am with my sister today and we had placed our order at 9:01am on the dot. My sister ordered a chocolate chip pancake along with a side, while I ordered a crepe with a side. I had remembered during my last visit that they didn't have the ingredients for crepes, so I made sure the waitress took a note that I'd have a western omelette instead if the crepe was unavailable. She took all of this down. It took 45 minutes for her to return to our table with my sisters order and our sides, she never returned in between. The waitress told me that my crepe was on its way. 5 minutes after that, (50 minutes waiting now), she returned saying they didn't have the ingredients for crepes. I waited 50 minutes for this waitress to tell me they didn't have my order made after all, and she "didn't remember" to have the omelette made instead if the crepe was unavailable. She then told me to order something else and how she would have it brought to me in 2 minutes. It took their chef 45 minutes to make a pancake for my sister, and we ran out of time anyways from waiting, so I declined. The worst part was seeing families of 4 who arrived after us, receive their orders within 20 minutes. We were the only table neglected. I can't help but feel there was prejudice as my sister and I are of middle eastern descent, while the rest of the customers were all white. My sisters pancake was also very poorly cooked. Breakfast is the easiest meal to make, there is no excuse for this. I only hope the owners read this and work on fixing their service. Every customer matters. We will not be...
Read moreWhat should have been my first sign to leave was when my family and I sat down. The restaurant was not busy or short staffed by any means. While sitting and waiting a waitress out of no where reached from behind me never announced herself and threw two menus on the table and walked away. The same waitress returned about 5 minutes later asking what we wanted to drink we responded a coffee and two juices please. Roughly about 10 minutes later from behind me AGAIN she asked “did you say you wanted a coffee?” She then brought the drinks and left, returning some time later. I was half way done my hot coffee asking what we would like to eat. We put our order in. Food came, dropped off the plates dumbfounded as she walked I was looking around. A patron of the restaurant asked if everything was ok, loud enough but not loud enough to make a scene I asked if I can have some hot sauce and syrup for my kids pancakes. The patron was walking around the bar area trying to help, she said to my waitress “he’d like some hot sauce and syrup!” The waitress responded “ok!” While eating my son finished his drink looking around had to stand up and ask for water he had to do so two more times during his meal. Overall horrible experience! I do not recommend eating here! Tiny Tim’s is WAY BETTER!!! The only thing quick and attentive about the waitress I got to experience was her taking my credit card and watching me fill out the...
