Previously dined here in the summer of 2019 and was impressed. The food was very good and we were extremely satisfied.
However, tonight was a different ballgame. We ordered 70$ in food takeout on New Years Eve, figured they could use the business due to pandemic slowing things down. They predicted the food would take 1 hour to prepare, which seemed odd for a couple of burgers, fried fish and a steak. Arrived in one hour, noticed they were actually extremely busy with a giant beer tent party taking up everyone's attention. Seems Covid 19 can't spread if the walls are canvas instead of wood, because a huge crowd was packed in there. Hope everyone is feeling okay next week.
Anyway, waited an additional half hour (now 1.5 hrs from time of order) because I told them my first and last name, unfortunately my wife placed the order under her name (same last name) which proved to be a challenging puzzle that was only solved when they asked if my wife was there after letting me rot there for a half hour.
Finally arrived at home with my cold food. Fries were cold, soggy and limp. Wife's steak was ordered medium, but was cooked so bloody rare that we felt the red, cold, floppy bleeding cow muscle was a potential health risk. I ended up cooking her steak another 10 mins on our stove to get to medium.
In conclusion, we wasted an extraordinary amount of time and a fair sum of money to eat cold, thoughtlessly prepared food that I actually had to finish cooking at home. It's hard to see a silver lining, but I guess this meal was truly an awful and fitting conclusion to 2020.
Edit: Thanks for the below response. I would like to add that we also paid for two beverages that were not included in the order. And to clarify, the steak was barely cooked and far from medium rare. Looking forward to hearing...
Read moreFour of us came for dinner on Wednesday night (8/12/2020) which is steak/pork chops night. The olive burger, six foot separation burger and a create your own burger were ordered as well as a filet with the brussels sprouts. The food was very good, burgers and steak were cooked perfectly. I recommend the sweet fries with a side of the maple aioli, delicious! However, I am only giving 3 stars because of the obvious lack of concern for social distancing in this establishment. The restaurant was totally full with tables right next to each other, nothing blocked off or separated, including at the bar. This was true for the outside seating as well. There was a tent up but I wasn't able to see how crowed that was. I have read responses from the owner on other reviews regarding these concerns over the past couple months. They claim to have put up the tent to curb this issue and that they can't control what their patrons do as far as social distancing themselves and moving tables, etc. I call bs on this. As a restaurant owner in these current times, you absolutely have this control, and frankly it's your responsibility to do the best you can to ensure the safety of all your guests. They are clearly not doing that. They are also not enforcing mask wearing as I saw several people walk in and out with no mask on and nothing was said or done about it. For these reasons I would not recommend this establishment to people who are concerned about their health or social distancing. My sister is immune compromised and I would not bring her here. I'm sorry for the long post and if it seems like a rant, I just want people to know exactly what to expect and that these issues have been expressed before and are still going on...
Read moreI have waited several days to post this review as I wanted to be as objective as possible. Friday evening October 1st we went to O's for dinner arriving at 6pm. Worst night and worst time, I know. Right upfront we were told that dinner would be about 1 hour for dinner to be served but if we ordered appetizers the would come out quickly. This was fine and the expatiation was set. we were there to socialize with the other couple and both ordered an appetizer. I took it as a bad sign when the appetizers took about 35 minutes to arrive but as we were having a great chat didn't worry too much about it. When we hit he hour mark we were getting hungry and started to ask the wait staff about the orders. We were told it would be out soon. When we could find someone to ask we continued to ask about our food and were told the ticket was in the window and it would be out soon. At somewhere around the 1 and 1/2 mark we noticed folks around us that had ordered later than we had were getting food, We decided that we had had enough and it was time to cash out and go. 10 minutes later we found out waitress and she finally had the food but for us it was just too late. We refused the food and one of our party wen in to find the manager to pay our bill. The manager apologized, discounted the bill and gave her a gift card. Not sure if all the additional seating outside, short staffing or just what was the issue but I left hungry and grumpy. The food has been great at this place in previous visits and while there has been a wait in the past it has never been anywhere this long. Moral of the story? ordering food on a Friday evening...
