El Adobe — Restaurant in Audubon

Today I ordered shredded beef "Chimichangas" you get 3 small chimis packed with meat and cheese. Very mildly spiced, almost bland. But delicious none the less. Being of latino descent I kinda expect Mexican food to have a little more kick. Refried beans and rice were great. To be fair, you can ask for extra pico de gallo if its not hot enough. I definately will be back and try some other dishes. Again i would give 5 stars if the meat had a little more spice. I guess they may be playing it safe a lot of people like things very neutral these days as we're in a "safe space" climate. Service was great, food came out in a timly manner. Stopped in Audubon to see relatives and they suggested going to this Mexican/Italian restaurant which seem like a weird combination but I was in the mood for Italian food. We stopped in for margaritas on a Sunday. They were large, and tasty! No brain freezes allowed. The owner was very friendly with extensive restaurant background. Would love to come back and experience his whole capabilities!
