The Bakery on Broadway — Restaurant in Audubon

I come to Audubon regularly to visit my son and his family. I always go out of my way to visit your bakery. The choc chip cookies are perfection, and all of your baked goods are amazingly good. The coffee drinks, smoothies, breakfast fare, are pretty darn good too. My grandsons love visiting with me and we always buy extra to bring home. I do miss the seating area around the fireplace though - that coziness. I wish I had taken pics on my last trip there, but maybe I can add photos to this review later. Audubon is lucky to have this place. Do wish it was open til later, but that's understandable for a bakery to close earlier. I look forward to many more visits in the future. Traveling through Iowa presents many opportunities for coffee. We stopped in on one such trip and truly enjoyed the visit. The shop was adorable with lots of local merchandise for purchase. The naked goods looked really delicious but we needed breakfast. We ordered a breakfast burrito, biscuits and gravy and a couple of house favorite lattes. We sat on the patio and waited for our food. There is a lovely garden out there really embodies a small town presence. The food and coffee were good, but the ambiance and the amazing staff made the trip well...

Nice little bakery with muffins, cinnamon rolls, cookies, pies, etc. Good coffee, espresso drinks, hot chocolate, and smoothies. Breakfast and lunch served: sandwiches, salads, and soups. If you want their pastries, best to get in before 9 am - they usually go fast! Eat in or take out.

There is a small shop for their coffee beans, hot chocolate, jams and preserves, candles, and the like.
