My experience here was okay, not the best. (Long review so I can give my reasoning) This was my first time visiting the restaurant. I walked in and was greeted and told to “go over there” for takeout. Not saying the waitresses were rude, because they were not, especially my server she was cool & kept me informed while I waited for over 30 minutes for my meal. My observation: workers were eating (waitresses & cooks) while customers were sitting around waiting for food. The cooking staff talked a lot and were not doing enough from my POV to get orders out. Orders were being placed in the little window but not being picked up in my opinion in a timely manner. I say that because when she gave me my box, I realized that box had been up there for at least 10-15 minutes. & no , they were not that busy. There was a customer that came in and sat at a table and waited to be served and no one went up to him. So, he then came and sat beside me at the little bar area and no one still acknowledged him, so he ended up leaving (missed money). A girl came in to order to go and they asked her was she picking up and she said she was told they were not doing phone in orders so she ordered there. Mind you, while she was there, phone in orders were observed being taken. On the food, I am a seafood junkie, but everything to me was overdone including my egg. I got the Princess. Not saying that I won’t try it again because I probably will. I had his food years prior when he was at the downtown spot and it was good. Oh, the...

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience has stuck with me and I feel it needs to be shared.
The food at this seafood spot in Augusta, GA is actually really good—no complaints there. But unfortunately, one employee’s attitude completely ruined the experience for me and my brother.
I don’t remember her name, but I’ll never forget how unprofessional and rude she was. While I was waiting for my order, she loudly said, “This is the guy I was talking about,” and followed it up with, “We tip around here.” First of all, tipping is optional—not something you demand or shame people over. That kind of entitled attitude is completely out of line.
What made it worse was that I had every intention of tipping on my next visit, but after being called out like that, there won’t be a next time. You don’t know people’s financial situations, and making assumptions or comments like that is beyond inappropriate.
To top it all off, I noticed multiple staff in the kitchen staring at me, which made the whole experience feel uncomfortable and targeted. It was just me and my brother—not a big party, not a problem customer. Just two respectful people grabbing food.
The food may be good, but that one individual’s behavior made the customer service absolutely disgusting. If not getting tipped once throws you off that badly, it might be time to rethink the job. Humility and professionalism matter—especially in...
Read moreThe place has a nice vibe to it. It's fairly new; so having dined in and eating out of a to go container is understanable I guess. Theres no refills on soda as it is a can soda($2 a can). The plus is they serve Coca-Cola products. We had 3 cans of soda. The food was great the portions was small. 1 piece of catfish and 2 sides($15). It was the same for the pork chop. 1 pork chop 2 sides($15). The chicken wingettes was the better option 10 wingettes 2 sides ($15). The habanero flavor was on point. For the sides we had Mac-n-cheese, fried corn, seasoned potatoes, and green beans. The sides are not much to choose from mostly starches. Don't get me wrong the fish was good it's just 1 piece of fish wasn't enough for my honey considering the sides were small portions as well (see pictures). They don't allow to just order another piece. He got the pork chop meal to go it was good but the portion again was small. They gave samples of red velvet cake and banana pudding. I ended up ordering the red velvet cake(forgot to take a picture before devouring it). Our waitresses was very pleasent and attentive. The music was old school music. Just what I love. Not to loud giving a very relaxing vibe. There are 2 TV's to look at. The place is kid friendly as well. I can see this place growing as the months go on. I will definitely return again because the good is good and I would like to give the...
