Absolutely terrible customer service at the North Aurora Oberweis. I came in for my usual large Banana Licious shake with strawberry ice cream added something I’ve ordered many times at other locations with no issue. Suddenly they tell me they can’t add ice cream, only syrup, even though I’ve had it done before lol literally three days agoand have the receipts to prove it.
Then at the window, they tried to charge me over $14, even though it’s always been just over $10. When I questioned it they claimed the other stores I’ve gone to for years were “doing it wrong.” I waited in line over 10 minutes just to be overcharged and treated rudely. The guy at the window was dismissive and unprofessional. I had to ask for my debit card back and leave.
Here’s the best part I drove a few minutes down the road to the Geneva location, ordered the exact same thing and guess what? They made it just like always strawberry ice cream, $10, no issue at all. I spoke to their manager explained what happened at North Aurora, and they literally just shook their head and apologized for the awful service I got. Told me to keep coming back here and they’d take care of me.
Unbelievable difference. North Aurora needs serious customer service training. Posting the Geneva receipt for proof and countless other receipts from various oberweis stores, including this one, and have ones from even last year as well. I have given Oberweis a lot of money throughout the various years. I’ve been to so many different locations, and I have never been treated this poorly ever! Really disappointing I won’t...
Read moreTried Cappuccino at this location… it’s the worst one i had jn my life. There was no foam.. it was filled with milk till the top. It was like drinking milk. I’m never going to try coffee at Oberweis. I tried here as my experience of ice cream and cakes was good and i thought this would be good as well. I was sooooo wrong. I had to throw the coffee.
For the store mgmt … looks like no one at the store even knows what a cappuccino is because when I told them that milk is filled to the brim and there isnt foam the leads question was so want with less milk. This is the definition of Cappuccino from Google - A cappuccino is a coffee drink made with espresso, steamed milk, and foamed milk, typically in equal parts. It's known for its distinct layers of espresso, steamed milk, and a thick layer of foamed milk on top. Cappuccinos have a richer, more bitter taste due to the higher proportion of espresso and foam.
The price is similar or actually ($6) more than coffee shops like Starbucks, Peet’s, Lavazza or any other decent coffee shops… so if they are charging that way I was pretty hopeful that they will do a good job of making it …. Anyways … stay away from...
Read moreI live down the street and have been patronizing this business for close to 20 years. We used to buy the bottled milk for my high school children there when they were babies. We have always enjoyed coming in and watching the factory through the window or getting a quick treat through the drive thru.
Throughout the years the quality as well as the presentation has been great. The last 6 months or so has me rethinking my options. Frostbites are my guilty pleasure and they went from amazing to not even bother filling to top of the cup anymore. Ingredients are sparse too. Tonight I had to repeat an order at the drive-through of 3 items 3 times because the person kept getting the sizes wrong. When I picked up at the window, the size was right, but they charged me $2 more for a bigger size. I showed it to the cashier and she just looked at me puzzled. The same thing happened to me last time too. Before that I never bothered to get receipts. Lastly, the drive thru line is often to the road now. Never had that issue in all the previous years. The line moves at a snails pace now. Hopefully this is a temp thing, but whoever is running the show on evening shift really has...
