I used to enjoy going to this store.....and to Penny's in general. I don't know if the current state is due to losing business to online shopping or the current supply chain chaos, but there was very little stock on the shelves. Soft goods like clothing, bedding, table linens was practically non-existent. 3.5 weeks before Xmas- the store should be overflowing with sweaters, scarves, gloves, and all the other goodies holiday shoppers want/need. I was looking for a tablecloth, napkins and placemats with a holiday theme......not a single thing to be found. There were 2 gray placemats on the shelf..that was it! The aisles were wide open...my guess is display racks removed due to the shortage of goods. Hard goods like appliances, dishware etc. Was very scarce too. I hope Penny's can reset and become what it once wad instead of heading to the same...

However, when I went to get an item of clothing and checkout, my experience got a little bit awkward. First off, both cashiers could be heard trying very aggressively to get people to sign up for the credit card/rewards. I understand as a person who has worked retail myself that this comes from overhead, and you donât have to sign up if you donât want to. However, hearing their pushy-ness I braced myself and once I got up to the front I said hello, how are you? All that. Immediately the conversation switched to rewards/credit card. She says oh but if you fill out at applications I'll give you 25% off your $216 order,,that would be great and if you are denied I'll still give it to you!!!WELL after she imputed all my info she says ok you should receive your 25% OFF in the mail ...huh?
