Sigh, I really wanted to love Bruster's. I've been hyping my wife and kids up about this place since we first saw the sign show up that it was coming, we are big ice cream after sports people.
First some positives. Beautiful facility, loads of room for parking, good sized drive-thru and loads of space for walk up too. Great branding and logo, very eye catching, further research told me this is a chain so that makes sense.
Now to the unfortunate negatives. I also will only be speaking about the food. Yes we had some service issues, longer wait times, but this is a new business with new employees, it would be unfair in this early hour of existence to judge them on service issues that are minor and not egregious. Atmosphere could also do some work, but again, new business with mostly kids working and one older gentleman from what we could see at the time we went.
For the prices they charge, I was certainly expected to be blown away, we were not. I asked them what was their version of a blizzard, they said a blast..... what I got was a extra soupy vanilla shake with some toppings thrown in, after about 25% of the way down, boom no more toppings, very disappointed to say the least, I ended up throwing the rest away. My wife got a shake and said it was fine but that she's obviously had much better, my kids and their friends got all of the kids menu items, one had a scoop of ice cream, some oreo sprinkled on top and 2 gummy worms, again for the price, we just expected more.
Anyway, we wish Bruster's nothing but the best, we will more than likely try them again in 6 months to a year to see if they have gotten better or changed in anyway, going to be really hard to compete when within 5-8 mins of this location there are 3-4 places that are better in pricing and product but I am sure they welcome the challenge, best of look Bruster's,...
Read moreWe are a family of 5. The kids are all under 8 and are little vultures when it comes to meals and snacks. 1 frozen pizza used to be enough but not anymore. It gets expensive to order or go out so we do it once a week or every other week.
This place is not cheap but also not expensive. You get what you pay for. The quality and depth of flavor my ice cream had. Bada Bing! I'm not the biggest person on ice cream, I'd usually rather have a few beers while the kids eat their dessert. We gave this place a try and we all loved it. It was really, really good. I sat there slowly spooning every savory bite while watching my kids argue whose flavor was better. It was cute. I knew my flavor was the best. I looked at my wife and we just smiled at each other. Everyone was happy. What they call a scoop could probably feed 4 fit adults or 1 of me. Quality and quantity, this wasn't no Chinese buffet. Usually you get one or the other.
Now bringing up cost. Sure you can settle on that place with the golden arches but you would be putting garbagio in your mouth. To balance out, I cooked dinner for the five of us. Now, we can splurge a little on our dessert. Download the app, they offer a nice incentive for new members. Also, you can click on each ice cream to read the description and see what the flavor looks like. This was nice! We ordered on line and trotted our way over to pick it up. They had everything ready when we got there. They handed us our dessert with a smile.
I hope you enjoyed my review. I apologize for the length. I tend to write some interesting reviews late at night. Give this place a try. I heard you can even sample...
Read moreI am absolutely appalled by the level of service at Brewsters. The staff were incredibly disrespectful, chatting amongst themselves while taking my order, completely ignoring basic customer courtesy. When I asked for a receipt, one of the employees actually crumpled it up and threw it away in front of me—a shocking display of unprofessionalism.
Additionally, they have started charging an extra dollar for a cup, which is ridiculous considering this was never the case before. My child’s ice cream was served with an excessively large scoop that melted all over her because we couldn’t get a cup without paying extra.
To make matters worse, the staff were using foul language in front of children, which is completely unacceptable. The entire environment was disorganized, and it was clear that there was no adult supervision—most of the staff looked to be 15.
I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place until they get their...
