I always came to this place under the prior name/ownership so didn’t expect the service AND quality to be as poor as it was. We ordered 2 panini’s and a smoothie. They originally offered the smoothie without the whip topping and seemed disappointed when we asked for the whip; apparently it was going to take three minutes to make. The 2 young ladies collaborating about what was and how to make the panini’s was anything but fun to watch. One complaining about the ‘wet’ peppers while the other moaned about ‘hating the cheese’. I ordered the Red Pepper Panini and for your viewing please see the pic of what it ended up being. I over heard the staff talking about an ingredient ‘they didn’t have’ (artichoke hearts) for the sandwich but none of them informed me about it until they finally completed the order 20 minutes after the time stamp on our receipt (keep in mind there was no other food orders before us and three staff behind the counter with no coffee or food orders after us) AND I asked them!! Of which the one girl replied, ‘oh yeah, that’s ok though?’ My sandwich cost $12.95 (JUST the sandwich). Horrible decrease in quality, care, substance and pride. Lesson learned that the old did not sell with what is now the new.

PS to the owners— I suggest that your staff should eat their food, ice cream and bagels in the back room or at a table on break. It’s in bad taste to have staff slurp melted ice cream and eat a burger behind the counter when they should be serving the customers there supporting your business and waiting on their own mediocre...

12 for a danish and a coffee and they person took the order without acknowledging that people were still waiting on orders to be filled from her. Most people go to coffee shops for take out. If you are currently backed up with orders, you fill those orders before you take new ones and tell customers that just walked in (me) to wait a moment. You don't take the order, then proceed to start making things for the other 3 customers you are backed up by, and then go back to taking orders for 5 additional customers that walk in before fullfilling your original orders. People had to have been waiting at least 10-15 minutes before I got there because of the process.

Either make sure you have extra staff in the morning or have a systematic approach to getting orders made before accepting new ones for all staff, especially when they are alone. This place used to be efficient and staffed better prior to the name change. Now it's not. Wasted 12$ did not have time to wait for 5 people to order slowly and for the product to be made for the 2 people ahead of me before mine.

Also, it normal to obscure the fact that your baked goods aren't made locally or in-house and come in...

This place was always a favorite of mine when I lived 5 mins away. Sadly I haven’t been in over a month since I moved a bit further south.

Regardless I love this place. It’s in a great spot and a wonderful place to go get some work done. It even had a nice cozy corner with a fireplace where you can sit and read in one of the two comfy chairs.

The food there is delicious. I’ve had their avocado flatbread, breakfast sandwich, bagels, and muffins. If there is a rush you may have to wait a little for food but they always announce when it’s ready (and sometimes bring it to you!).

The coffee is pretty good! Honestly whenever I go here I get mochas so I can’t speak about anything else. What’s nice is they give you the option to have 3 or 4 shots in it (their machine makes 2 at a time), so if you need that extra boost they give it to you for free.

The staff are always really nice and attentive to your order. I’m glad they extended their hours a bit, too!
