So, this used to be my favorite place to get breakfast tacos, but since I now live 25 miles away from them, I get excited when I get the chance to eat here. However, the experience we had today made it to where I will never eat there again. We ordered 6 tacos, 2 for each of us. 2 of those were with no with no egg since I have a sensitivity. 2 were with bacon, which we asked to be extra crispy. Here’s what we got; 3 tacos with sausage, egg, potato, and bean, 2 bacon, potato, bean. The bacon being pretty much next to raw. My 14 yr old went in and ordered these for us, reading off of a teaxt I sent her. We get home, see the issue with the order so my daughter calls them. She is having a difficult time getting the lady on the phone to understand her so I get on the phone as they get the manager. I explain to the manager what happened and she asked me to bring the tacos back! I tel her I can’t because we live 25 miles away. She said that in order for her to issue me a credit she would need to check them! I told her that that would be a health violation. And then this woman had the audacity to ask me if I was the one ordered them. Not that it matters, but no, I did not. She then asked me how do I know she ordered right? BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER CAN READ! She basically told me that my daughter couldn’t read and that there was nothing she could do! I VOW to NEVER...
Read moreOne of my favorite breakfast taco destinations. Not only do they have great prices and amazing food but the customer service is A++++++++++++++.
Their breakfast tacos are enormous and they do not sacrifice quality to do this - not even for the outrageously low prices they offer. The portions are super huge, one taco is probably enough for most people.
Check out the daily specials -the philly cheese steak is better than most more expensive places and the portions of meat and cheese on their delicious fresh bread is hard to surpass anywhere - and most other places charge twice as much. Hit them up on a Friday for lunch and your are in for a treat.
I ordered the Migas breakfast taco this time and added Chorizo and Bacon - because I am living a high protein kind of life right now. They put a crazy amount of cheese on this too.
Another thing that is different here - the salsas are super good. They offer now both red and green and its not all about the heat. Sure, there is a BIT of kick to it but there is flavor that pops in your mouth and hits all of your senses. The newest salsa, verde, is the best - got to try this!
If you have not tried this place - go NOW - or as soon as they open, you have got to...
Read moreI have been coming to Ken's Tacos for a very long time. Like, since high school. In that time that that I have gone…at least 10 times a year for my own eating and maybe 20 times each year for the office…the food has been great. Always prepared fresh. Always done with the right ingredients. Always done with a bit of happiness. The ladys know me there from my work uniform (they probably know lots of “regular work people”). I have even taken several co-workers that have never heard of Ken’s Tacos. Most have loved the food. A few have hated it for various reasons. All agree that the food quality is consistent. Most state that they love the quality and taste of the food. I agree with many others that have visited Ken’s. Their building hasn’t really changed much since I started going there (14+ years now). The parking lot itself in front of the building has been repaved. Other than that, it is still a good hole in the wall place. A side note, the prices have gone up a bit from my high school days but currently at $2.75 a taco (more like a burrito), the price increase is...
