McDonald's — Restaurant in Austin

Normally I don't really even review places on google but I'll make an exception for this particular McDonalds. It's a McDonalds, and knowing that you probably shouldn't be expecting a whole lot anyways. However, as far as these places go? Top quality. I go to the highschool right over near there so it's safe to say I go there often. I've hardly ever had any issues, and when I did they were resolved with care and politeness. I go through the drive through a lot, and normally there's this lady Josefina who takes my order and my payment. Always very nice, asks how my day is, and I've not had my order gotten wrong as far as I can remember the whole time I've been going to this location. She asked me to do a survey from the receipt from the visit I had this morning, so I figured I'd help out because she's always there and she seems really nice. Food is always good, but it's mcdonalds food, so it tends to be good for the price you pay for it. Normally I get breakfast, or lunch. Inexpensive (what else is new). I paid 3.24 for a really good breakfast this morning. If you're wondering whether to go to this location or another? This one never ceases to please me. I've worked in food service so I get it, if the customer service isn't good than it's a turn off, but I keep going here so you can take that as you will. Does get crowded in the dine in at lunch time, but come on? What fast food place doesn't? Have you even seen the chick fil A off of 183? That place has good food but you can't expect to get a meal in less than 15 minutes going through their 3 lane drive through. Overall, I would recommend this location. They have outdoor seating too if that's important to anyone. Good food, low price, good...

This location never fails to treat us like we arent worth their service. The staff is always rude, they don't listen to your order and act like their screens and drive thru times are more important than basic kindness and customer service and they are all adults not teenagers which means they should have a better understanding of customer service. they look at you with anger in their eyes and will argue with you and belittle you over a package of sauce or salt. This isn't waffle house so why is the staff so quick to wanna fight us?? On their best days they typically just throw the bag of food at you and close the drive thru window in your face and completely ignore you if you try and get their attention if something is missing from your order. They can't be bothered to greet you or even put napkins in your bag and basically make us feel like we have offended them by checking the bag or making special or specific request. I literally have to be extra nice in hopes that my kindness will keep them from treating us poorly and getting our orders correct. This poor service is a direct result of terrible training and management and reflects the entire lack of care on the franchise owner. The Ross family McDonalds franchises are my favorites. They structure prices (yes McD allows franchises some variations ) in a positive way. The chicken nuggets here at the North Lamar location are the best in town and the tea is always fresh . They move the line at a reasonably fast rate. I’ve seen faster but accuracy goes down. Erica and Josephine are very friendly and are by far my favorites. (yes I know the names of many employees at the 6 locations I hit more often than I should.) Food Allergies: McDonalds lists ingredients on their website. Be aware that when Spicy Nuggets are on the menu those of us with nightshade allergies can not eat here. They have multiple fryers but they are designated (or used to be) for specific things. Spicy fried food sheds the spicy oil into the vat, thus contaminating it with hot oil. Many frying places have figured out that they can shake on the spicy powder outside the vat and actually have a great product and less food waste since the same chicken can be used for both products. That is not the fault of this location so no points lost. There are locations that don’t pay attention to which fryer so all the spicy sandwich stuff mingles with the nuggets which as stated are supposed to have their own vat. I’ll advise on those next...
