This Subway and perhaps many other Subways in the Austin area have severely gone down over the years. A lot of places don't honor things online versus in-store in terms of deals which is understandable from time to time but still being such a huge corporate entity I'm not sure why certain places don't abide by certain deals.
My main point is that the last time me and my Mrs and I went to go get sandwiches together, specifically at this location it was not a very good experience overall. They made our sandwiches wrong, and more importantly, they're had a terrible attitude about it. First off they toasted off both of our sandwiches and we do not like our sandwiches toasted, the sandwich workers pretending not to hear us but being able to hear each other was very off-putting, and to top that all off we both got some mean looks when we told them they made our sandwiches wrong so they had to remake them.
Overall personally this was the last straw because the last few times I went to various Subways around the Austin area it was very lackluster and a lot of the ingredients have gone downhill especially when it comes to their flatbread which I think has changed over the last couple of years. I can literally spend the same amount of money on one sandwich and being able to go to the store and buy all the ingredients that I need to be able to make sometimes even two to three sandwiches worth.
Case in point: Do not ever eat at...
Read moreIt’s rare in life when you recognize doing something for the last time in the moment itself. Often only in reminiscing do we realize there was a last visit with a friend, a last moment with a loved one, or a last meal at a restaurant before it closed. However, I can confidently say that today was the last time I will ever eat a Subway sandwich.
I have occasionally popped into this location over the years and it seems to get worse every time. I ordered BMT but instead I got what tasted like sadness wrapped in a yoga mat. Seriously, are y’all stretching the bread dough with foam rubber?
On top of this, apparently this location decided that they no longer accept Subway coupons. I found this out at the register after my sandwich was made so I got to pay $14 for this monstrosity. If you suddenly change this policy, maybe a sign is warranted? You have a sign that you don’t accept bills over $20, get a sharpie and add this to it.
My advice is stay far away from this location and take your money elsewhere. Even if they offered free subs, I still wouldn’t consider...
Read moreThis is a message to the owners to reassess Sam as a manager. I ordered two wraps which a friendly guy started to work on, while she stood at the register. He heated up the meat and as soon as he took it out she barked at him; “that’s too much meat! he’s not supposed to have that much!”. The guy making the sandwiches was super calm and friendly while the manager Sam made the situation super uncomfortable. He asked her how much meat should be on and she told him six inches worth. He checks the menu and read to her that it says 12” worth. At this point Sam is dumbfounded and backtracks to saying that’s not what she has ever been told and then tells him to add more meat... the entire time just standing at the register not helping move the line and giving bad information to her employees and making customers feel awkward. Shoutout to the guy working there for staying calm and friendly and knowing what even goes in a sandwich. He should be her manager and teach her what goes where and how to interact with people. Wrap was delicious but...
