I've had a couple of terrible encounters with this crotchety, surly, old woman who works overnight at the drive-through 2X, two times more than I should have ever had to deal with her.
The first time I dealt with her was through the drive-through, and she yelled at me after not answering her fast enough for my order, and then proceeded to tell me to come to the window so that we could she could further berate me. Luckily, when I arrived at the window, the manager on duty overnight met me, and I asked him what the deal with that person was... and he stated that it was difficult to get someone to work overnight. And that other people had had issues with her, but there was nothing that he could do personally.
The second time last night, I ordered a sausage breakfast bowl, and she handed me a bacon breakfast bowl. Luckily, I checked my order before I left the inside counter, and advised the same woman that it was wrong. She told me that I was wrong and mistaken about what I THOUGHT had told her, and that she had correctly entered the bacon breakfast bowl I had ordered. We go back and forth a couple of times about what I KNOW I said, and finally, I pull out my receipt and, saying "I'm pretty sure it says sausage," show it to her... She snatches the receipt from my hand and, realizing that she'd screwed up, without saying a word, goes to fix her screw up and shoves the new bag towards me as she continues to take an order through the drive-through headset and give attitude to that customer at the same time. I noticed another customer had just arrived as I'd gotten my food standing in line on the inside, observing the whole interaction in disbelief.
I don't know what the deal is with this woman, but if you happen to go to this place overnight, probably between the hours of beware of this repugnant woman who acts rude and disgusting towards the customers...
Read moreI frequent this Whataburger. Most of my experience with this location is around the hours of 11:30pm to 1am. So, I can only really reference my experience during those hours.
To be brief, most of the time, the burgers are good. There have been the rare occasions where I get home and start eating what is perplexingly an uncomfortably noticeable meat patty with unmelted cheese. Maybe I always go there when I’m hungry, but those rare burgers are the type of cold and stiff that would better indicate it had been sitting long before it met my hands.
The fries? It’s rare when I get some that are fresh and that’s really the only time they’re good. Otherwise, they tend to be more of a stiff undercooked potato than a comforting warm fry.
Strangely enough, the soda sometimes doesn’t hit right either. It’s either perfectly fine, or as a Tik Tok I like to reference, “carbonated poo water”. Which I know is simply an indicator that they need to refill the soda syrup as it is practically empty.
If you’re thinking about getting drive through at the times I go, you best believe you’re either going to wait an absurd amount of time (10-20 minutes before you even get to order), or it’s a Monday night and there’s no one in the drive through.
In all honesty, those criticisms aside, I genuinely enjoy this location. There’s one employee (I believe her name is Karen) who remembers my order and recognizes me right at the drive through while I’m ordering. From my limited perspective, I do think some things could be improved. Unfortunately, I don’t think all of the employees there at night care as much as Karen does. I’m not in the kitchen to tell you why things take so long that late at night, all I can tell you is that it’s definitely going to take a minute. I know that, so I’m listening to a podcast while waiting in the drive through.
I’m sure it’s much better of an experience NOT late...
Read moreNew review: When ordering via the app this location without fail will get the order wrong. Any modifications or additions are completely ignored. Every time I've had to return to have it fixed the staff meets the complaint with complete apathy. They don't care, their management doesn't care, and Whataburger doesn't care. This location is poorly run and either needs new ownership, management, and/or training. It's utterly unacceptable for this to continue.
Old review: So I'm not somebody to trash places in the comments, but I feel the need to express this issue. Tonight, 7/18/19, I came here because I was hungry. I hadn't eaten all day, I'd been on my bike most of the day, and the time I wasn't on my bike I was on my feet at work. I showed up on my way home to make my day better by getting a Patty Melt. Unfortunately, because I ride my bike as my transport due to my epilepsy making me unable to drive a car, I showed up and brought my bike in. I brought it in as I was only getting a to go order, there's no good places to chain it up outside, and I was gonna be there 10 minutes tops. The first thing that happened was one of the employees behind the counter told me I couldn't bring my bike in. This was not the first time I'd brought my bike in either, at least 10 times before. So I left and went to the drive thru. Guess what? 10 minutes once I put my order in. I do want to say that Albert, whom I assume is the manager, took my order and didn't say anything about me coming through the drive thru. Thank You Albert. Of course if you commute by bike at all for any reason wouldn't suggest...
