I love this place. It’s next to a gas station on Lamar. It has such great food the staff is so kind. HOWEVER, you must order and pick up your food yourself if you want it done right. Don’t expect them to EVER get your order correct through Grubhub. I almost always order a burrito, 3 taco plate, and con queso. The burrito is suppose to come with rice beans meat and cheese. I always request pico de gallo, jalapeños and lettuce. Half the time I get it. The tacos are suppose to come with onion and cilantro most of the time I just get meat on a tortilla. Not even onions on the side or anything. They have really good verde sauce but even though I request it they hardly ever include it. The food that does arrive is really good. Just hardly ever the way I request it. I understand not wanting to mess up the item but to not even include the extras on the side? That’s annoying after a few orders of the same damn thing happening. I have been there in person so I know how nice they are. I don’t think they are doing it intentionally. They re just dropping the ball...
Read moreThis place caught my eye out of convenience and proximity to where I was, on a very small break. I was pleasantly overcome with a familiar feeling that I've been looking for since we moved to the area about 4 ½ yrs ago. It's a bright pastel colored, little hole in the wall, next to a corner store that doesn't seem to want to share very much of the parking lot with them, so it's pretty limited in that Dept, but the rest, to me, makes up for it. I'm always on a quest to find great Mexican food that reminds me of home, and this place comes real close to feeling like El Paso. It also seems they've achieved an Honorary El Pasoan award for a couple of their dishes done EP style. I only wish I'd seen that before I ordered, so i could judge for myself. I will definitely be back for it, though. The girl behind the counter that took my order was very nice. My food was done quick, it was pretty cheap, and best of all - just what I'd been craving. Totally recommend, and most definitely...
Read moreGot a steak quesadilla and it was pretty good but the ordering experience was extremely bizarre. There was a younger woman taking our order and my male friend ordered first and then she looked at me and asked him "what does she want?"
Um...? Was that the best way to ask that question?
I let her know I was paying separately and she practically rolled her eyes. I was there with my friend, not a significant other, and there was no expectation of him paying for me -- but I don't need to explain that.
She was extremely abrasive and randomly took out a bag from behind the counter full of cash right in front of us to fill the register. I thought it was really strange since the restaurant hadn't just opened or anything. It just seems like something you do when customers aren't standing at the counter. We both tipped generously out of fear due to her being so rude since we were worried she'd do something...
