I placed an online order and through email confirmation told it would be ready for pickup in 20 minutes. When I arrived it wasn't ready, no big deal. They said it would be another 20 minutes and they apologized it was so busy. I ran across the street to grab a pop and waste 20 minutes. When I went back in with the expectation of it being ready they admitted they completely forgot to put my pizza in and it would be yet another 20 minutes. I didn't mind the first additional wait but now you still have to make it and bake it when I've been here 40 min? I asked for a refund which apparently no one has the ability to do so and they would have to wait for a manager. I trusted this and expected my money refunded in 7-10 business days. When I checked my bank statement 12 days later it had not been returned. Fast forward to numerous phone calls asking to speak to a manager, which whom I was told either was not there or too busy to take my call. I explained the story and even left my number to be called back. Obviously no call and no refund. I took to Facebook hoping this could be resolved and the response I got at first was that they did refund it right away, which is a lie. I know how to read a bank startement. Then they asked for proof which I provided and Crickets. Nothing. Excuse me for wanting My money back for something I Never received! Furthermore, what an embarrassment to you that you can't return $13. Worst customer service response to your mistake. Was willing to actually eat here again as the pizza is good but I will not support this behavior or disregard to your customers. I would give a minus star on customer service it that...
Read moreI have been waiting to try this restaurant ever since I heard about it a few months ago and especially after I found out that they make everything fresh including their gluten-free crust. Unless you are gluten sensitive or have celiac you will not understand how amazing fresh in house made pizza crust sounds.Anyway, as soon as I walked in I was greeted by the amazing mouthwatering aromas.... and also Jason, the owner who briefly explained the overhead menu. With so many choices and everything sounding so delicious it does get to be a bit overwhelming. That's when Leslie stepped in and helped me compose the pizzas that I ended up getting. I ordered a gluten-free with veggies and pesto drizzle. The other two were vegetarian as well. One had shallots and garlic with ranch drizzle and the other one has garlic, shallots, calabrian peppers with pesto drizzle. Thankfully all the pizzas got the thumbs up from the fam but their favorite was the vegetarian with the works and pesto drizzle. Even a couple of unexpected friends came over and tried a few pieces and they came to same conclusion. The veggie with the pesto was the clear winner. In addition to the pizzas they do have some amazing chicken tenders that are all the rave. So next time you're around Avon Lake or even if you're not but you're craving some fresh, delicious, and cheesy pizza stop...

I am a plant based eater so finding quality healthy food in a restaurant is not easy at least not until Dirte Pi.
The Veg Head is a plant based pizza made with quality ingredients and non dairy cheese that doesn't taste like plastic. Typical restaurants use cheap terrible non dairy cheese products that ruin the flavor of the dish. I was very impressed with the plant based cheese at Dirte Pi. I enjoyed every flavor on the Veg Head.
The pizza is baked in a tandoori style oven which gives the pie a perfect crisp outside and fluffy goodness on the inside. The dough is also perfection not soggy and not soaked in oil.
The in house tea and lemonade are also very 😊
I really appreciate that Dirte Pi wants to serve quality healthful food not because it's trendy but because there is an under served market.
Congratulations to everyone...
