I ordered delivery from China House for the first time last Friday. Sesame Chicken with fried rice and a Egg Roll. They delivered it to me within a reasonable amount of time. It was shortly after they opened, they are only seven minutes by car, and the weather was fine. So if they HAD been late I would have been shocked. The food was hot, even the rice, and I was surprised by the Egg Roll. Normally I cover the rolls in Chinese mustard because that's the way I like it and because most rolls are kind of bland. But I discovered to my surprise this Egg Roll had refreshing flavor to it. A hint of ginger I think. I wish I had not covered it in mustard before discovering that! The fried rice was good and the Sesame Chicken was mostly above the norm. There WERE a few pieces that seemed tough - maybe overcooked? But I would say the food was pretty good and everything went well together. Where I am going to take away a point is the lack of napkins or forks and the feeling that the price was a tad expensive for what I received. Just by a touch. But it came with a few sauce packets and a...
Read moreOrder via Uber Eats. The Curry Fried Rice was inedible. I think they tried to hide that they put like 2 mini-pieces of chicken in with a whole onion. They thought if they put enough crunchy half-cooked onions in there, I wouldn't miss the chicken, and absolutely not ONE pea in it, although featured in picture, it was disgusting how many onions were in it. I had to DIG for even a sliver of chicken. For $20, FFS, it was maybe worth $10 (if that). The Shrimp Spring Roll, it was good but the size was disappointing for the cost. "Crab" Rangoon, yeah...not good they fried it so much, I hurt myself taking a bite even when halved. And to call it "crab rangoon" shouldn't there be crab in it? And the price, give me a break?! I would never order from here again, the cost vs quality is sadly lacking. If the rice had been edible, had chicken in it, and the EXCESSIVE amount of onions left out...maybe but not worth the $36 spent on...
Read moreWe ordered from Uber Eats, not only was the food bad, which it's hard to make bad chinese food, the restaurant had bad service. I called to change my order within 5 minutes of placing it. before I was able to give my order number I was told the food was on its way. My response was how do you know when you don't have my order number? She asked for my order, I told her. she wouldn't let me change it and said I'd have to contact Uber, which is opposite of the instructions fron uber. she was rude and the food terrible. The food left a terrible aftertaste in my mouth and my stomach hurts. worst chinese food I've had. it will likely get thrown away, it's that bad. The all the entrees had little taste and a ton of onion, rather than the veggies that should have been in them. The hot and sour soup was flavorless, devoid of mushrooms, and the consistency of mucas. Will not get food...
