⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Authentic Neapolitan Pizza and Warm Ambiance Pupatella offers an exceptional dining experience with its authentic Neapolitan pizzas that transport you straight to Naples. The crust is perfectly chewy, with that signature char from their wood-fired oven. Each bite is a delightful blend of fresh, high-quality ingredients and meticulous preparation. What Stands Out: Pizza: The Margherita and Prosciutto Arugula pizzas are must-tries. The balance of flavors in the Margherita, with fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes, is spot-on. The Prosciutto Arugula is a savory delight, with the right mix of salty prosciutto and peppery arugula. Atmosphere: The casual and cozy setting makes it perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or a casual date night. The decor is charmingly rustic, adding to the overall inviting vibe. Service: The staff is friendly and attentive, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. They are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations. Pro Tips: Arrive early, especially on weekends, as it can get quite busy. Don’t skip the appetizers. Their Arancini (fried risotto balls) are crispy on the outside and creamy inside—a perfect start to the meal. Pair your pizza with one of their local craft beers or a glass of wine from their well-curated list. Whether you're a pizza connoisseur or just love a good slice, Pupatella is a fantastic choice. I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu!

I wouldn't be exaggerating to say this is literally my family's favorite restaurant of all time. I'm Italian and their Margherita DOC pizza is extremely close to pizza right out of Naples! I sometimes add prosciutto to mine and my hubby will add meatballs to his, but it's fine too exactly how they serve it! My husband's family was Navy and they were stationed in Italy this is the closest they've found up and down the east coast to legit pizze napoletane! Their dough is perfect and so is their sauce. My kids go nuts for their pizza, meatballs, arancini and fried mozzarella balls. Oh, and their gelato is spot on as well! Service has ALWAYS been great as well. We go here after a long day walking around DC like tourists or out and about hiking, etc. and it hits the spot every time! The location on Wilson Blvd has a really nice large outdoor patio behind and to the side of the store, perfect for kids to play while you wait. This location on Glebe is nice too but with a covered porch.

Now a growing chain, Pupatella is probably my favorite pizza producer. The dough is chewy and not too thin or too thick. You can build your own pizza so I did. Light on the red sauce, extra cheese, chorizo, pepperoni, and spicy Italian salami. Got a grapefruit spritzer, beer on tap (draft), and a brussel sprout with apple app which did not go well with pizza. The pizzas are individual size like Italy. Pupatella started as a food cart and now is a growing with at least three or four locations. The menu is nice and includes children’s items including pasta with butter which is very Italian as all restaurants in Italy know that kids eat plain pasta and chicken nuggets. Or plain pizza. This location on Walter Reed is awesome because of the plentiful parking. #pizza #pizzalover #pepperoni #pepperonilovers #pepperonipizza #italianpizza #neapolitanpizza One thing to note. This place closes at nine pm on school nights. Forcing you to go home to bed…

I tried to place an order over the phone for pick up as I waited in my car. The girl who answered could not hear me, it sounded so loud in the background for her & she was getting annoyed that “my phone kept breaking up”. We place the order & she says I have to give a card over the phone before pick up. I said I was paying cash so I’ll just come in and pay. She repeatedly told me I would have to come in and place my order again. Ok fine. I go in and the place is not busy or loud so I’m confused why she was screaming on the phone and couldn’t hear me. So anyways I ordered the meat lovers pizza, caprese salad & bruschetta. They said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I get home & I am so disappointed by what the pizza looks like. I’ve posted photos but the meat is barely cooked, tons of oil. Not authentic pizza at all!! The bruschetta & caprese salad is a joke. I’ve also attached pictures. The only difference between the two is you get a slab of mozzarella. Presentation is way off. Bruschetta is not cut right neither is the caprese salad. The bread wasn’t toasted. I will not return due to the quality of food, knowledge & service. I couldn’t even eat my pizza because I’m afraid I’ll get sick from it. Food not cooked or made right! Stay clear...

I have never had Pupatella until today and the service experience and pizza are amazing. I called in for pick up, an associate named Leo answered fast and was super nice, I told him it was my first time ordering from here and he was excited for me! I ordered my food no problem, he asked for payment over phone which I’m not opposed to but I wasn’t used to it as I usually always pay when I pick up. So when I asked if I could pay when I got there, he politely told me that wasn’t their norm but since it was my first time I could pay in store! Once I got to the store Leo greeted me and we made friendly conversation and he educated me more on Pupatella and their other locations which, as a dork I loved learning about. My food was ready in exactly 10 minutes (they were not busy at all so don’t expect that on a busy day okay? lol) I didn’t notice the drinks until after I got my food and wanted a Coke which Leo gave me on the house as a treat to a nice new customer! This was so unexpected but I am so grateful. This was one of the most brief, yet positive experiences I have ever had at a pizza place. Leo was awesome. The pizza is amazing and I’m glad I have this Coke to wash it all down! Thank you so much Leo and Pupatella I’ll be...
