Pizza Pie Me — Restaurant in Bailey's Crossroads

I want to start my review with saying that I have not actually been to Pizza Pie Me, I've only ordered delivery so I can't comment on the atmosphere of the resturant. I thought that the delivery time was good considering that I ordered at 7PM on a Saturday, when I called and ordered they told me 50 to 55 minutes(which is about what I expected) the delivery driver arrived in about 35 minutes. What I ordered was basically an order of the Chicken Tenders and a Calzone. The chicken tenders were a decent size, cooked perfectly, moist and had a good crunch with a coating that didn't over power the chicken itself, I would suspect that they were made in house. The Calzone was not only large(the box in the photo is 12 inches square)but very good as well. Crust was soft but firm enough to hold up to the ingreadients. Fillings were flavorful and a good quality. The only negative criticism I have about Pizza Pie Me is that I wanted to replace the red sauce in my Calzone with ranch to basically create a Chicken Bacon Ranch calzone but they wouldn't do it so I ordered light on the tomato sauce and it came out very good, but not exactly what I wanted. I suspect the reason they wouldn't replace tomato sauce with Ranch is because they probably don't have Ranch in bulk, I didn't see any Ranch options for pizza or calzones and when I got Ranch for my Tenders it was in pre-made Ken's cups. Via Grubhub I ordered a Chicken Portabella Calzone. I was able to get a discount on it as well! They said it would be delivered at 4:50 PM to 5 PM. Normally when non-Grubhub's drivers are delivering Grubhub's estimated time of deliver is WAY off but this time they were correct. The driver showed up around 5:06 PM. It was raining, dark, and during rush hour so you have to give him a break. He was also polite and the food was hot and fresh. The photo on the menu online does not do it justice. It is much better in person and so good. Even without the discount it would have been worth it. Not much else to say. Have to keep this place in mind if my friends ever want to have dinner in my area! Update - Tried their Chicken Wings for the first time and have to say, wow, they are good. Just like something from somebody's backyard grill. Addition - I ordered a two-liter bottle of diet Coke and a Medium sized Nachos Pizza via Grubhub. The restaurant uses its own drivers and the order arrived around the time they said they would. I have never had a Nachos Pizza before and really enjoyed. It lasted me till the next day also. Having ordered a variety of items on separate occassions, it seems fair to leave an honest review. The food is exceptional! Calzones, wings, moz. sticks, pizza ... all delicious and left me wanting more when finished.

Delivery was ahead of schedule and the delivery person was very courteous - he smiled, spoke clearly, and didn't stand there awkwardly waiting for a tip (I tipped via credit card).

Although I have nothing to say against the food or its delivery, one thing I wish to see PdP adjust on is their delivery containers. The polystyrene (Styrofoam) container arrived a little melted - despite the parchment buffer between it and the food - which resulted in me having to peel pieces of Styrofoam out of one of my cheese sticks (you better believe I still ate it!). Beside the foam-into-food absorption is the environmentally conscious element: aluminum is recyclable and compostable is, well, compostable and are therefore more suitable options.

All in all, l will certainly order from PdP...
