LISTEN! We we're just cruising & stumbled across this bakery. If you blink you'll miss it but we decided to stop. When we opened the doors we knew we had found a hidden gem in the heart of Bailey. The smell alone was of sugar, spice & everything nice, inviting us right up to the counter. The counters were filled with cupcakes, cake pops, cakes, cake slices & YES, even freshly made loaves of bread & dinner rolls! We ended up purchasing an italian cream cupcake with walnuts & coconut, chocolate dipped cake pop, a slice of pigpickin' cake & a 2 pack of sugar cookies. When we got home...the smiles that hit our faces from pure enjoyment & excitement...10/10! The cake was soft & not overly sweet, the cookies were buttery & crisp & the cake pop did not exist after the third bite from our 3 year old. We are looking forward to weekly visits to The Dessert Cake Company of Bailey & looking forward to trying her other items. A HIDDEN GEM!! We had a sweet tooth today, searched online, and this hidden gem is apparently the only bakery that stays open later than 3pm. Let me just start by saying that this place is worth the drive, worth every mile! The owner is as sweet as she can be and walked us through every item, flavor, and price. Her love and passion for what she does shows through her amazing customer service. We bought a variety of goodies, more than pictured but the rest didn’t make it home. I am not exaggerating when I say that the burst of flavor when I bit into the cinnamon streusel cake pop brought a tear to my eye. Came across this local, small business today! I didn’t get the owner’s name, but she greeted us warmly and showed us all the cupcake flavors available. I wish I could’ve eaten one of each! My family and I ended up getting a snickerdoodle and carrot cake cupcake, and a vanilla cake pop. All delicious! Moist, fluffy cake, and a surprisingly light, whipped frosting that wasn’t as super sweet as I might have expected. (A good thing!)
