T & T Smokehouse Meats — Restaurant in Baker

I don’t normally take time to write reviews on restaurants but this meal was so disappointing, and reading the replies to customers basically stating that their opinions are wrong is wild. I ordered the smoked chicken and ribs with green beans and Mac and cheese. The chicken “looked” amazing but unfortunately it was very dry. The ribs looked sad and didn’t looked smoked at all. They were grey with no smoke ring. They tasted fine and were cooked well but I have a hard time believing they were smoked. The mac and cheese was bland and was piping hot, it was clear they nuked it in a microwave. The green beans were obviously from a can and had little flavor also.

The quality of the food did not match the price. Very disappointed to have to pay 30 dollars for a unsatisfying two meet plate (with no beef) and a bottled coke.

There are dining in options but there is no restroom to wash hands and there was no bag in the single trash can they had in the “dining area”.

Me and my family decided to eat there for the first time, because we heard it was new & black-owned. I’m usually very picky about anything new, but i’m open to give anyone a chance. Best restaurant in the city of baker, if you ask me! I’m a vegetarian, so i don’t eat meat. But, they have a variety of non-meat dishes to choose from! So even i am catered to. The portions are really great too for the price, most restaurants charge alot for a little bit of food. But not this one!! My family who are not vegetarians had the rib plates, they loved them!! I would go everyday to here if i could, but i work alot haha. The service is great & even the pies are gooooood!! I’m actually about to go now since i’m off today lol. Please eat here if you want good food & don’t want to travel all the way to Baton Rouge to get it. I was so happy after finding them out & trying them. Because they’re good & VERY close to where i live. Give them a try!!! You won’t regret it. Keep up the great...

Alright... I hate doing reviews under 4 stars but I had to come here and say something. I ordered the brisket, sausage, rice dressing, Mac n cheese & green beans.

The brisket seemed to have been cooked in a crockpot (I was hoping it would have been smoked like the menu says)

The sausage seemed to have been smoked but had been cooked in the AM and reheated when I ordered (it was dry)

The rice dressing was mediocre

The Mac and cheese (no flavor) seemed to have been cooked either the night before or in the morning and reheated in the microwave.

The green beans tasted like they were pulled out of a can, threw some smoked seasoning on and heated in the microwave.

Overall especially for the price they were asking on the menu I was unfortunately disappointed.

That's great that you can't keep it on the shelf, but fact of the matter is, this was my experience that day.

Also, please fix your restroom so...
