Was very excited to try here for my birthday. Very disappointed with the atmosphere since the dishes are so nice and higher end. this was a very loud bar and we were confused if we were at the right place. went outside and it was old chipped tables and plastic chairs. at least we could talk. Lights were a nice touch. A proper dining area would have been nice. Steaks were very good, got the flank steak chimichuri which was good, very tender. Was thinking it would be green based vs a red onion base it seemed. So that was a bit lacking with the sauce and it lacked depth. Asparagus very good. Fries okay. Bit high price for what you get though. I had the beef Wellington and the filet was great. But overall again lacking in.. something special. pastry a bit thin and got soggy although the sauce with it was nice. Mushrooms and the layer in between was unnoticeable. Spinach lacked flavor but was too salty.. and I like salt. Lobster Thermidor was very salty to the point almost couldn't eat it. drowned out the natural sweetness of the lobster. This was probably the most disappointing dish. Overall cooked pretty well. but did not enjoy the flavor. Mashed potatoes were okay. Server seemed bored, annoyed and unfriendly. Checked on us once. never filled water. Made for a bit downer of a vibe. Unfortunately we will not be returning although there were other dishes on the menu that looked good.

Chef Lino is the head Chef at the Pour House Bar and Grill on Fuitvale ave. This is a small local bar and restaurant with excellent food and great employees. Great food, strong drinks, great prices and wonderful workers, how could you go wrong. I came in today 6-23-21, for lunch and ordered the Spicy Queso Freso Pasta with chicken. Gosh, I can’t describe how good it was, right amount of kick, spicy, just delicious. Bartender/waitress was Grace, she did a wonderful job. I will be back very soon.

The food is amazing. Appetizers to dessert, you cannot be disappointed. Notice I said cannot, it's that good. The sauces are great on all of their dishes. Pork belly tacos, mmmm, try them. Stuffed mushrooms, ceviche trio??, I believe. The lamb was great. Cream cheese chimichang pastry was great. Their sauces and seasonings make their dishes pop. Phase 2 now so tables are well spaced.

We had a great lunch here table of 8 people. The fish and chips were great. Others had sandwiches and chicken picotta , and the chef Jose was making it happen in the busy kitchen. Everyone enjoyed their lunch choices. Dont eat the garlic fries there addictive lol. .We had fun with the lottery while we waited for our food they had the California lottery scratcher machine and keno. Our server Brittany could not have been any better taking care of us all. She seated us , got drinks, and served our food quickly. Just the right amount of time didn't feel rushed and didn't feel like we were waiting. We were out of there in an hour. Brittany tells us they offer weekday lunch each day. We had a great time! We sat in the front bar area. However, they have added a large covered seating area out back very nice addition. The place felt clean, and the bathrooms were clean. You must try this place at least once, and if you haven't been in a while like myself, there are a lot of changes for the good . I do recommend better ventilation in the kitchen for a couple of reasons, but im not complainingill go back. Overall, it was a great...

The chef serves up some great food hear and you will want to try just about everything. The menu was shortened but there is plenty dishes to choose from and the drinks and serving sizes are for those who are really hungry. The local workers and the people who know the chefs reputation for great food know about this place is a must to visit frequently. Atmosphere is typical bar type as pictured and it is not for the real fine dining experience. The people go for the good food. Parking is packed at lunchtime so you might want to go a...
