El Transito Mexican & Salvadorian Restaurant — Restaurant in Baldwin Park

I used to like this place but this weekend I placed an order online with the link provided with Google and selected the option to pay in restaurant so I could tip in Cash. I put my contact information and received the confirmation email with an estimate time of 30-35 minutes. When my husband arrived, he was told they didn't receive an order so I went inside and placed the order again. After I paid I asked the woman if they were not using the online ordering service anymore and showed her my phone. She said that because she didn't get paid, they didnt do the order. She said I can place the order in person or call which makes no sense because Im still not paying until I get there anyway. Why have the option to place an order online with the option to pay instore if youre not going to make the order? At the very least contact me and let me know that youre not going to make the order. First time going here and it surprised me. I went in looking for any kind of soup because my throat was killing me and they had many options. They had caldo de pollo, caldo de 7 mares, caldo de rez, sopa de birria, and menudo. All sounded amazing but I decided to try caldo de rez. We also ordered an alpastor torta and a large horchata. The soup was so freaking good🤤🤤🤤 It had delicious veggies and also the beef which was cooked to perfection. The soup was fresh out the pot which was perfect to help soothe my itchy throat.
