HipHop Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Baltimore

I see these restaurants all the time but couldn't get past the name, so I never stopped.....

Well - today I did and they definitely exceeded my expectations. This is a chain restaurant and the menu is very diverse. There is fried fish and fried chicken (of course), but you can also find lamb or chicken over rice, other options like greek pita or kabob, and desserts! I found so many options that I didn't know what to try.

There is plenty of parking and there was security inside and staff cleaning the grounds and the floors. I felt like I would give it a try.

I was also happy they carry Everfresh....

Prices were steep and the staff wasn't friendly but not extremely rude.

I ordered the catfish meal and it was about $11, everfresh drink $2.50, and a sweet potato pie just because....I decided to try the greens too just because I love greens and cabbage (no cabbage on the menu). Side of greens was a little over $4.00.

You do the math....was it worth it???? Everything was cooked fresh (except greens and coleslaw). The fish and fries was sprinkled with something white (tasted ok...although they could have sprinkled mine with a little more seasoning).

I would go again.....I liked they had bread on the bottom and a side of coke slaw. Made the price make a little bit more sense. The portion was a nice size. I ordered too much. The greens didn't have meat but a red tomato and pepper (very spicy - not my thing - note to self: no...

Do not use this place for delivery option!!!!! Placed an order through Uber Eats…. The order started without confirmation of payment, so I canceled immediately! Within 30 seconds or less. I get a message stating the order was canceled, but I was being charged $14, for the cancellation! The order was only $16!!!! I contacted Uber Eats customer service, they contacted the store and the manager said the order was already made! How? The initial order was placed at 9:15pm! Canceled by 9:16p and Uber Eats was on the phone with me by 9:19 pm, trying to contact them!! When Uber Eats tried to reach them a second time, no one answered and he said they close by 9:30. At 9:45, I personally called and a guy answered the phone and stated they were closed. I tried to explain what just happened and he hung up on me! Uber Eats recommended removing them from their delivery list and will try to reach them tomorrow. Quality and customer service are everything! I love me some hip hop fish & chicken I come from new york down to baltimore to get it. They have a big selection of food. Their combo dinners are what i usually get 11.50 cant beat that. They also serve large platters if your doing a party and there not crazy on price. They have whiting, perch, tilapia, catfish, and more. They have a kids meal. A crazy side selection I usually get the mac and cheese with yams and sometimes coleslaw. Their pretty fast and efficient. Unfortanately they do not deliver so I call in and they give you a number makes it simple. They have a few locations here in baltimore I'm not sure outside of it. I wouldnt compare this to a regular chicken spot at all. But it's a little hood spot depending which one you go to. The food is worth it tho, I'm waiting for them to open right now so I can...
