Ok so I went to Tola today even though some of your reviews told me the place and food is trash and to go to hell instead of coming here but me I like to experience my own whahala when it comes to food so Iām just here to say you guys are liars and may GOD forgive you allš
So letās get to it, when you walk in it does smell like gas but thatās not an issue for me because I like good food infact it donāt seem like anything was burning or anyone was dying so which one concern me? š¤·š½āāļø
Anyhow letās continue I got there and I called in advance to ask about the Acheke so as I walked in my aunty at the register was nice smile and said did you call about it, I said yes she disappear and went to get my food.
You people told me the kitchen give suspect so I stood on the side and watch them put my food together the whole time and nothing suspicious was happening at all. In fact it was just my three African aunties in the kitchen talking to each other and gathering my food for me and making it hot, one of my aunties even cut the tomatoes and onions for my food fresh as I watched.
Anyways my food arrived again two of my aunties came to the counter one told me to enjoy my meal and the other one took my card. They both looked on edge and as an African I think they thought i wasnāt American and was trying to figure out if it was my first time trying African food and if I was going to like it, thatās my assumption or maybe they look like that because you crazy people have left so many madness as reviews so they were overly trying to impress me either way I felt welcomed so aunties thank you.
Finally I came and I have consumed this meal like someone who was starving for 10years. The food was hot in temperature and spices just the way I like it. Infact Jesus himself baked the fish. I am full and happy. Highly recommend this place go there eat and enjoy and support Africa. Oh and to my three aunties in the kitchen Iām from Liberia and listen this food was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst, this is like going home. My brother and I went to Burkina Faso and Togo 3 years ago. Tola is one of the few places that I can get authentic Fufu and sauce and feel like I've been transported home. When you walk in the door everything is beautiful, warm, and inviting. The beautiful young lady who takes our order and serves us has the brightest warmest smile and she greets you like you're a long lost aunty, cousin, brother, sister, coming home. I've so far only gotten the Egusi and Fufu which has been delicious. You get a good portion for the price. We ate in the midst of a spiritual fast and this was just the perfect place to break fast together with delicious food, traditional music playing and excellent service. Plus, they stay open late. I definitely recommend going and trying Tola yourself. I only wish we took pictures but everything was so good it was gone before I...
