My husband & I took our Son to El Beso to celebrate his Birthday. We have been here several other times. In fact, my husband celebrated his birthday there a few months ago. What they did for my husband was they brought out fried ice cream and a big sombrero to wear, and several servers sang Happy Birthday to him. This was so nice, that I thought it would be a good thing for our Son as well. However, the Server we had was just not with it! We had never seen this woman before so figured she must of been new. She barely spoke English! So it was not easy to place our orders. We had to ask her to bring us silverware. Then had to ask for dishes to put the cheese on. Our Son and his family got there after we did, and it gave us the opportunity to tell the waitress that WE wanted the bill and about us being there to celebrate our Son's birthday. We made it thru our meals. We waited and waited for her to bring the ice cream and the other servers to come and sing to our Son. After maybe 15 minutes, here they came. They put a hat on our Son, and our waitress came up behind our Son and SMASHED HIS FACE into the whipped cream on his ice cream!! We were ALL in SHOCK!!! Our Son thought we paid her to do that, but we had not! He had just put his NEW Contacts in right before he came to the restraunt. He was not able to get the cream off of his new lenses. So needless to say, he was not happy. Neither were we. So, IF you go there to celebrate someone's birthday, you might need to be specific as to what you would like...
Read moreI honestly don’t understand how this place has 4 stars on Google and Yelp. I’ve been to plenty of Mexican restaurants, and this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had.
A couple weeks ago, I tried to place a to-go order, but the hours listed online didn’t match the door. I stood there for about 10 minutes while multiple employees walked past me, only for them to finally say it was too late to order.
This weekend, my family gave it another try, and it was no better. Service was painfully slow—drinks took forever, and they didn’t return for food orders until about 15 minutes later (and it wasn’t even busy). Refills were rare, but the second we finished eating, they rushed to clear our table.
As for the food? Bland. The red salsa wasn’t great, the carne asada was thick and chewy, and despite asking for extra rice (no beans), I barely got any. The only positive was the salsa verde, which was actually good.
All in all, disappointing from start to finish. I...
Read moreBad service, bad food. When we arrived we were seated quicky. That's where the good experience stopped. The sever came to the table and didn't greet us or smile. " What do you want to drink. " And that was with attitude. We should have left at this point. Then we ordered our food. Still a very bad attitude. There were eight people in our party. Only two plates came out of the kitchen that looked like it was edible. My fahitas were burnt and my daughter's fahitas were beyond burnt. My grandkids taco looked like old Nacho's. I finally asked the server to look at my daughter's food and to please remake it. The replacement came out pretty quick.. it was like they went to a different restaurant to get them. The food looked at taste great. When I was boxing up my food to take to my dog. Another worker stated clearing the table and he hit me on my shoulder to move me so he could...
