GNM Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Barnegat Township

I will never go back to this establishment ever again! The service by a middle aged male staff member was mind boggling on Saturday October 26th.

I stopped in to the shop to pick up fresh ground coffee. I waited in line for my turn to purchase 4 bags of coffee. Upon my turn, after patiently waiting for some time, I asked for the coffee beans to be ground and was told that I would have to wait for him to serve all others behind me then he would ground the coffee if he could find the time in case others entered the store.

I told him that this doesn't make sense and the the total cost of my purchase would be in excess of $80 which is more than what the customers behind me would be spending.

He stated that he didn't care and I would need to wait if I wanted the coffee.

I promptly left in total disbelief. With customer service such as this on full display for a small remote location as this shop is, this doesn't bode well for the longevity of this shop.

I would highly recommend finding another independent coffee shop....

My daughter and several friends visited after exams to get some smoothies. One has severe dairy allergy, was very clear about it. She began vomiting a few minutes later and my 17 yr old daughter had to administer an epi pen to her friend (who ended up in hospital). Owner and employees here did nothing to help or show concern and in fact were extremely rude and defensive. This isn't about blame it's about care. They were responsible for a life threatening reaction and had no interest or care for her friend. So clearly employees and owner poorly trained and taking shortcuts. You can't put yourself out there as a community coffee shop if you have no concern for those people in your community! We wont be back and will recommend the...

After driving by, the place was attractive enough to turn around and stop in. Upon entering on a non busy time, no greeting. After waiting for few minutes, someone finally asked what we would like. When I ordered, wasnt asked what size, the barista just grabbed the large and charged. Wife & I got our hot beverage and checked out the indoor seating area. Looked cozy, only 2 other small groups in there. Open counter & seating areas all needed to be wiped down, keep in mind, they weren't busy at this time. This was a one & done experience.
