Update 4/10/25 Health code violations: lady making biscuits has no hair net and 2 inch nails. Cashier has the frizziest hair imaginable with no hair net. She is wearing gloves but it handling money and bagging food and making drinks with the same gloves. Got to the restaurant at 11:45 and didn't leave until after 12:15. Only 1 cook. 1 cashier who's is probably on her first or second day. The others are moving at a snails pace. I get 30 minutes for lunch, my order was placed when I got here. This is ridiculous. After all this, I will never be coming back. Everyone on line is waiting 30+ minutes. Now I'm going to get on trouble at work for taking more than 30 minutes and I work right next door.
Update 3/16/24 4 Health Code violations just waiting in line. Handling food with no gloves. Scooping ice with the drink cups. People in kitchen with hair below collar. Worker comes in at 1045am, smoking as she walks in, proceeds to start handling food without washing hands.
Food is better and faster, staff is better. But watch the health code stuff.
Original review:
Fire everyone...start over.
7/9 Order #43
Placed order In drive thru between 9pm and 915pm. Total seemed a tad high. Window worker read back my order, which was wrong, so I corrected it. My total did not change......ok? Got receipt....order still wrong....what? Whatever, 6 cars behind me, I don't want to hold up the line. Get home, all food is ice cold. I am not being sarcastic, we had to cook our own food. Fries: cold and soggy Burgers: dry and brittle The gravy on the mashed potato tasted like espresso. My tenders were so small, they could fit inside their sauce containers.
Wife got a patty melt....which came on what is best described at microwaved bread.
We had to cook our own food.
Waste of $29....$8 of which was over charged because they added food I told them I didnt want and tried to remove.
Will never be back again.
I have 20 years in restaurants, 14 years as a Manager. My advice. Shut down for 2 weeks, retrain, restart.
I honestly feel like someone gave me their left over McDonald's and kept my order...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW!!! WHY? Because every time I go to Jacks in Barnesville I get the BEST SERVICE! I have NEVER had food poison and I have not even ever saw the first bug in this place! All I ever see is a very clean facility with energetic employees! I sure wish the other locations could meet this level of service! That includes other Jacks locations and even other name brands out there...This place ought to be the BOOT CAMP for new fast food OWNERS and WOKERS!
YES, I do have a complaint...Jacks, NEVER has enough bone in fried chicken during the day. You have the best recipe but you don't want to cook enough??? Sounds very counterproductive...Not having food ready will make your drive thru line back up and it will make your inside line backup...I witnessed your employees arguing over who gets the last 2 chicken legs! Who does get the chicken legs and who has to wait for more? The person in the drive thru or the person in the store???...and that is when you loose business and get bad reviews....SO...COOK MORE CHICKEN! If you have extra at night, then send it home with the employees or find a family or church in need. You will get so much more BUSINESS!
OLDER POST...This Jacks location is actually one of the better ones, from my experience. Fortunately, for me its close too! Like I have said time and time over, Jacks has the magic fried chicken recipe for success...can the business side of things make it last? I went this evening, probably my 30th visit or so...Greeted by a new manager, Earnest. He and his staff did a fabulous job. Dinner was on point and service was excellent. Big thank you to ALL the employees too, team effort yields great experience. What did I eat??? 3 Piece chicken dinner plate, the more thighs the better, double mashed and gravy, beans in a bowl. Add the tea, free refills. About $15 bucks...worth every penny. - 'Matt - Solutions2...
Read moreSo with this review I’m going to cover all my experiences here. I have been a good amount of times since it opened. I have been with family and also a couple of times by myself. I have done breakfast as well as dinner. Now, when this place first opened, it’s was really busy but man they were on it! Great food and friendly people and the employees acted like they were really enjoying being here. With that said, it has been a constant decline. The last couple of times I have been it had just been little things but with each visit it seems to be more and more. Either it’s very slow service, getting something in the order wrong, one or more food items being barely warm etc. I get it we all get busy but from some of the other reviews this seems to be a trend. Now with today... not busy, maybe two people in line. If the lady moved any slower at the register I was going to pull out a mirror and check to see if she was actually breathing. It’s now my turn. I walk to the counter and she mumbled something as I’m standing there looking at the menu and she’s grabbing something from under the counter. Then she proceeds to almost yell “NAME??” I proceed to tell her that my hearing is just fine and if you want people to respond to you maybe you should actually look at them and greet them in a polite manner as there is no reason to yell. Of course no response as expected. As I’m standing there I think maybe 4 people walked in the door and the lady decided to say “ on my god, are you kidding me” as she’s looking at the people coming in the door. I just shake my head, made sure she saw it. Anyways... this place has REALLY went downhill fast. I will still stop by from time to time but not nearly as frequent. And if the problems continue to happen I will just pass on by...
