Jack's Lounge — Restaurant in Barnstable

Working out of town ( 3 hours away) and wanted a decent pizza and sub with my coworker. Ordered a pizza, a burger and a sub. The sub was highly underdtessed and dry. The "medium-well" burger was cooked medium-rare at best and only have a patty and cheese. No lettuce, tomato; just burger, cheese and bun. Also had a taste of seafood, raising concern of cross-contamination. After calling to explain the poor food quality, the gentleman on the phone explained how much we'd love the pizza. Well, the pizza was almost rubbery, was cold on arrival, and almost had a sour taste. Any of these other reviews i see on here make me assume its either friends and/or relatives trying to leave a good deed for the company, but none of the reviews i see match what I experienced from jack's pizza. Highly disappointed with the near $80 we spent on company money for such loisy food. DO NOT RECOMMEND;...

Stopped in on the middle of a Wednesday and had the best cheeseburger I've had in quite some time. I asked for it medium rare and it came that way, which is uncommon. Clearly a hand-formed burger and between the grilled bun, thick cut tomato, wedge of iceberg and ring of red onion, I thought I might have to unhinged my jaw to eat it.

Ended up with a knife and fork like a dork: totally worth it. Decent crowd of older locals on a Wednesday afternoon and excellent service from the woman behind the bar, who had a very strong pour with my drink.

My only complaint is there's a little bit of a funky odor when you first walk in. I chalked it up to an older building and i went noseblind to it pretty quickly so it...

Ordered a pizza and a sub from this place, they told me it would be ready in a half hour. I showed up 40 minutes later and they hadn't even started making the pizza because they "ran out of chicken" (it was a specialty buffalo chicken pizza). On the phone they told me no problem, but I guess when they realized they had no chicken, I wasn't worth simply calling back and them letting me know it would take longer or if I wanted to get something else. Absolutely ridiculous. And on top of all that, the bartender ducked behind the bar and didn't come back and tell me, she made a girl who had just gotten to work for her...
