The food is great for the price, but there is some horrible service, the two best servers quit, the cook is absolutely fantastic and very friendly. The owner, he is very nice and accommodating but a couple of The servers don't get the concept of service, i don't like to say it but, the customer is why you have a job. And a happy customer is a repeat customer.......I always do 2 buffets, then take out also, I thought everyone business was important. To start off the 1/2 Lemonade and 1/2 Tea was the best thing I had during our visit. The hush puppies were gummy, the fried chicken was dry no matter dark or white meat, the Mac & cheese had an "off" taste that I couldn't place, and the desserts left a lot to be desired. Wife said the Lima Beans were good but the hash did not have any discernable porky flavor. This experience does not seem to be a "one off". Traveling through Barnwell and decided to try this place. Came in and the staff were very friendly however I was immediately turned off from the looks of the buffet. The meat looked cold and dry. The mac and cheese was burnt on top and the hash looked like butterscotch pudding. I never even tried a bite.
