Forks At Buck Hill Inn — Restaurant in Barrett Township

My 10-year-old daughter are foodies and have been travelling a distance (1-2 hours one way often) to check out restaurants that are well rated and providing outside service. We like to order multiple dishes and them split them to create an ad-hoc tasting menu so we can really check out a place. All as a way to maintain our sanity during the Corona virus.

She and I ate here on the last night of a brief excursion into the area. We did quite a bit of research on restaurants in the area and were grateful to have found this place. The food was FANTASTIC. Service was friendly and attentive. We started with the soup-of-the-day, a New England clam chowder, which was frankly the best I've had in my life (and I grew up near the ocean in Rhode Island). Then followed by a great salad of mixed baby greens, blueberries, strawberries, walnuts, with a very nice (not to sweet) poppy-seed vinaigrette (their house dressing if I remember correctly), and then followed by the lobster ravioli (which again was one of the best I've had.) We ordered some Clam Chowder to go as well.

OVERALL... great food with a really good vibe... the type of place you just feel good all over when you've finished your meal. ...

Lauren, thank you for a job well done. You are the A-team. Who said perfection doesn’t exist, because my 80th celebration at The Forks of Buck Hill was perfect. First and most important was the workforce because as we all know it is always the people that make the difference in anything we do. All were friendly and eager to help from set up to break down. The restaurant looked inviting, friendly and warm. The food, as well as being delicious, was in “Abundancia”. The staff was so attentive and one step ahead of us, they did not skip a beat. I can not praise you more or be happier with everything. I always loved the the Forks, but after this experience, I would recommend the Forks for any event to my friends and family without any reservations for its notable hospitality . Delicious dinner and wonderful service from our super personable server Amber! Here for the weekend and almost cancelled our reservation due to the rain, so glad we didnt! Best meal I have had in a long time, and this is coming from someone who eats out often. Atmosphere was very warm and inviting, especially if you like old world charm like we do! I was worried the peaceful dining room wouldn’t be suitable for my 4 year old but Amber made us feel right at home and we were grateful! Poppy seed dressing, beef stew, and lobster ravioli were highlights of our meal. The cranberry jalapeno marg with smoky salt put to shame the bland margarita our lodging charged us twice the price for earlier in the evening. Very well done dinner & presentation. We will definitely recommend and hope to visit again when back in...
