I was SO EXCITED to see a new boba place open up in Barrington! I truly wish them well, but have to say that my first impressions were not great. I went in on day one to get a Jasmine green tea boba. It was acceptable. The employees were not terribly friendly though. I went back the second day and ordered a matcha boba which was very disappointing. Hardly any matcha flavor whatsoever; just sweet. I also ordered a ham croissant which was a couple slices of ham, and a lettuce leaf in a (very good) croissant. Also very little flavor though. The service was not friendly at all. I hope they are just getting things ironed out since they have just opened. I will wait a few weeks and give them a third chance. EDIT: I’m now a regular customer. They definitely ironed things out after the first week. The brown sugar bobas are lovely, the puddings are yummy, and the mochi donuts...

Have been looking for a new bubble tea place close to us but this was a big disappointment. The reviews were so promising. The smoothie was way too sweet. I have a huge sweet tooth but I cannot drink more than a few sips. I ordered the strawberry lychee smoothie and the lychee is a syrup so perhaps it’s a learning curve to use less sugar with a syrup but it’s annoying that you spend that much for a drink but cannot even drink half. Also, the tapioca was absolute trash and as harsh as it is, I’m not exaggerating. I could tell right away that it was bloated and was not going to be fresh. But what I didn’t know was that not only was it not chewy but it was soggy on the outside and very hard and dry on the inside. Don’t offer tapioca and better yet, don’t charge extra for something that is not edible. I’m sorry for a poor review but seriously...

I ordered Mango smoothie and Brown sugar bubble tea. I requested for almond milk in both the drinks. The brown sugar milk tea tasted watery. The almond milk was clearly diluted. I have had that drink at many other places and never felt diluted. After paying extra for the almond milk, I wasn’t expecting that. So I had to take one star out. I got to taste the mango smoothie too. OMG it took me to heaven. I have never ever tasted such a beautiful drink before. It’s a must have if you like mango flavored drinks. The drink was smooth and sweet. The place was kept clean and offered lots of amazing options for drinks and treats. Overall I’m pleased and would recommend this...
