We stopped in for a glass of wine. Although we were here rather early (before noon) The atmophere was pretty decent. We liked the overall layout and decor, but sadly it was pretty dead. It is a "wine bar" so I guess that's expected though.

While we sat and enjoyed our wine we couldn't help but redesign the space in our heads. Something we do for fun sometimes. Again the space is great, but we kept thinking, why not incorporate the outside in?

This kind of place would really benefit from a folding glass wall system with music playing loud enough to draw people in. You're right on a busy road, so opening the space up making it more accessible and fun during the day could really make downtown Barrington a hot spot. Add a few bistro table along Hough Street and you're "cooking with gas". The covered patio is a nice touch but again, open those walls up!

Additionally. By the painting on the back wall, give us a lounge! First come first served, but in the evenings it could be "table service" for private events. Dress up the area with lounge sofas, coffee tables, and mood lighting. Separate it with planter boxes and boxed hedges or flowers. 🔥

Honestly, this place gave us "could thrive in Florida" vibes, so why not embrace it. The warmer weather is short lived, but amazing when it's here. When the weather starts to get chilly, busy out the flame patio heater and light up the night ❤

I'm sure we'll be back and were excited to see how this place is at a more...

Been eating/drinking here since it opened. It's a 35 minute drive but I'm here as often as I can be. Pizza is neopolitan-style made to order in a wood-fire over, pasta is made in house and the dessert is outstanding. I could pick just about anything on the menu and I'll enjoy it. Love the burrata plate, every type of bruschetta they offer and any of their pizza. The crust is chewy and flavorful, stays true to tradition. I come here to show off the food while catching up with friends, or on my own for a glass of red wine to enjoy the atmosphere and relax. Did I mention the wine is on tap?? I love wine and food. LOVE to make eating and drinking an entire outing in itself. Every dish I've had has been a pleasant surprise, reminding me of something I know from traveling to Italy, but done a little differently. As for the wine? I thought I had better than average knowledge. The bartender always has a suggestion, l and I trust them to make me try something new I'll love. This place has never steered me wrong. Go here. And then...

We have been trying to get to Neoteca for quite some time and finally got to try it out. Food here was delicious. Their truffle fries with garlic dip was amazing but the the Brussel sprout were overdone/burned. The warm olives were different. The fennel pizza is a nice treat for sausage lovers with chunky pieces on top. Oliva pizza was unique and good to try. The spinach and ricotta pizza was delicious. Their desserts were "melt in your mouth" good. The chocolate cookie with ice cream was just finger licking good, while tiramisu was very satisfying. Overall we left filled and satisfied with food. I would rate their food as 5 star. They have a nice big outdoor patio which is pet friendly. However the service outside was really slow. We asked for red peppers and got it when we were done with food. As the evening went it got cold but majority of the outdoor warmers were out of gas. The service definitely made the overall experience not so great. Would recommend going here for food during...
