Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Barron

Just an hour and 49 minutes from Minneapolis it's a beautiful drive through the country with a nice Dairy Queen at the end of the rainbow I highly recommend this Dairy Queen because the food is delicious and the people are very nice it's also a very popular Dairy Queen I think it may be the very first Dairy Queen ever built in the state of Wisconsin my mom would go there for ice cream when she was a little girl she is 75 years old now and remembers the place very well. It's owned by her old gym teacher from back when she was in grade school but it's run by her son now it's definitely a must-see Dairy Queen and the drive is very nice. Just straight-up Old Highway 8 to Barron Wisconsin you can't miss it if you like the country once you get there you won't want...

Ordered 2 cafe shakes. Had a seat in front of the counter. Waited 15 minutes as we watched a group of kids come in after us check out. There were 2 younger individuals running the place. A guy from the back came from the back to help take orders as the girl made ice cream. After I watched all the team of kids get their order before ours and more people come in and have their orders taken, I finally went to the counter - 18 minutes passed! - and asked if we were going to get our order. The girl asked what it was and pulled it out of a drawer and gave it to me. They never called us! But looked at me several times. Our shakes were melted, so when she offered me a spoon, it was a joke! My shake was like coffee flavored milk....

I ordered curbside for pickup at 7:05, got here and waited until 7:20 to go inside. I was waiting at the counter while the two employees made ice cream and they chose to attend to a doordash driver and what seemed to be one of their grandfather, both of whom just cut in line and walked up to the counter. I waited another 15 minutes and watched the line back up. They seemed to only serve who they want to. A guy sitting next to me, also waiting, said he paid and had been waiting about as long. Why aren't there any adults present? There was nobody there I could talk to about at least getting...
