It's super nice inside and out even the bathroom. The food is plum delicious and fast service..Great open atmosphere also nice country like folk whom are sociable and easy going.Lota of smiles from patrons n staff..Only one thing made me feel unwelcome was a bartender whom told me to leave if I wasn't drinking..I was there to out in an application..ask a few questions and watch how things are ran day shift . I told him I don't drink all the time was just getting an application. When first coming in ,I asked him about an application he turned his back away from me and wouldn't answer or even make contact. I stood there thinking he may he hard of hearing..So I talk louder..he still ignored me..it was on purpose. I went to the restroom gathered myself and went outside ,checked it out talked a bit with patrons..All were nice , polite,funny. .Then he comes outside and looks at me like I'm trash..I was very well dressed.Dress thigh level also ling swade boots..Hair done a..I tried to look very lady like but not provocative.He tells me to go if I'm not ordering a drink..He had very few people there..but was so bland and negative like as tho..We were all lucky to be there.Not good for business.He obviously did not care..I left and cried..I won't stop coming there.i still want a job..but won't take it .until hes been gone for...

One of the Peoria area's true hidden gems. Outstanding service and delicious food. The left part of the establishment is a restaurant with tables and in a section to the right is a long bar also with table seating and slots. The mushroom appetizers are hand crafted masterpieces. These are homemade and coated with a seasoned batter. They are superb. After you taste these, all other mushrooms (particularly the frozen, poured from a bag variety) will pale in comparison. They are in my opinion the best available. The hammer burger is a full half-pound of succulent beef with shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and barbeque sauce. It is excellent. I have been here plenty of times and it doesn’t matter if the dinning room is full or empty…. The customer service is A1. I haven’t been here in about 3 months from reg dinning and the waitress remembers that I like my ice separate from any beverage…. Like how?? That’s a true skill & confidence that your waitress is paying attention even when you don’t think so. I love Hammers! Food is always good, I am a foodie & my cravings are always satisfied, my stomach will be good and full from the food & the vibes are just home filled.Today I learned that the then was waitress is now the NEW OWNER OF THE RESTAURANT !!!
