Hardee's — Restaurant in Bartonville

I used to have this as a 5 star, but had to change it. My wife, 2 kids, and I went here for early dinner before heading to the Riverman game. It was about 4:00 with barely anyone in drive through, and no one (at the time) in the restaurant. We ordered as usual, the helpful cashier gave us our number and we went to a table to wait... and wait... and wait.

We waited almost 20 minutes. Two other customers came in and they were also waiting for food at this point and maybe 3 or 4 cars went through drive through during this time. The lady that appeared to be a manager of some sort (based on clothing) was just yelling at the employees and doing nothing constructive to help.

At this point, my wife went up to the counter to ask what the hold up was because we needed to be somewhere. The manager picked up our "partial" tray of food and after making eye contact with my wife walked right passed her without saying anything. When she go to our table she said they were still waiting on a kids hamburger meal. I ask "how long will it be because we don't want to eat in front of one of my daughters while she waits. The angrily said "it's coming up" and walked away. My wife proceeded to follow her back to the counter and wait... and wait.. and wait again. 3 minutes went by (now at nearly 25 minutes) and the manager gets the "hamburger kids meal" and hands it to my wife and says "here". My wife says "thanks" and the manager doesn't even make eye contact and walks away. Now, if you remember, it is suppose to be a hamburger because my daughter doesn't like cheeseburgers. She opens what is suppose to be her hamburger and it has cheese. We then spend the next minute or two picking off cheese because we didn't want to wait another 25 minutes for a new one.

At this point, the manager goes back to yelling at the staff (something about to much grease or oil). We hurriedly ate our meal and left. It's sad that this is one of my favorite restaurants and I likely will go...

It's 2016, franchise restaurants should have workers which are programmed like robots, friendly robots. Since I am unemployed and the heat index was 115° I decided to have an inexpensive meal, cool off and use WiFi to update my Androids. The manager in blue with black glasses, white Caucasian male, somewhat skinny and short could possibly be the most pompous, egotistical, and loud person I have EVER come across at a fast food restaurant... quite possibly at any restaurant Maybe in the entire world. For 30 minutes I unintentionally and easily listened to his conversation with his coworkers complaining his employer was not going to throw some kind of official party for him or recognize him in a very public manner. I'm not sure what exactly this managers next endeavor will be but it sounded like he was either being transferred to a different location or possibly being given a raise or even quitting , I'm not quite sure. What I can tell you is that his excessively loud voice could easily be heard anywhere in the restaurant and was extraordinarily unprofessional in every sense of the word. He is the epitome the quintessential narcissist I who thinks he's special because he can do an easy job well. He definitely does not understand that he is completely expendable and there are millions of people who could fill those shoes in a heartbeat. From the conversation I heard you would think that he was a heart surgeon who had successfully transplanted over 500 hearts and will now be retiring. Those are the people that received parties because they selflessly dedicated their lives to improving the lives of other people. This matter is done is helped America yet even fatter.

Mr. Manager, I'll throw...

They have this all star meal deal which is $6 and includes a double cheeseburger (like part of the 2 for $5 deal), a spicy chicken sandwich (best value chicken sandwich in fast food IMO) fries, a drink, and a cookie.

I usually toss the cookie and upgrade my meal to large for the extra $1 and it is very filling. But it’s like 1,400 calories so not something you will eat every day, but definitely a nice treat. It’s pretty much all I order when I do go,I think it still is a better deal over the 2 for $5. Only downside of Hardee’s is I am certain it is the most calorie heavy fast food place of them all.

Also I rarely eat Hardee’s but I recently moved to a high cost of living area so that’s why the above meal I mentioned was $6, I remember when I lived in Ohio it was only $5 so depending on where you are it may be even cheaper. They also had the chicken sandwich for $1 so an all star meal and a chicken sandwich can potentially leave you...
