Jim's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Bartonville

The food is ok, I can’t speak too much on it as I’ve only tried a few menu items & probably will not be back to try anymore. The waitress was incredibly rude & acted as if they don’t want customers. We showed up an hour & 20 minutes prior to their closing time & they acted as if we showed up a minute before close. We felt rushed, unwanted, & like the waitress was just so put out by us. It was instant rudeness the second we walked into the door. They close at 2pm. I walked in at 12:40pm in a party of 3. We didn’t order much either & tried to order quick items because of how she rolled her eyes at us even being there. Another customer came in a little after us & was treated the same way. Maybe it was a bad day, maybe this isn’t the norm but it made us feel so awkward that we won’t come back. I would not recommend at this point. This is only 1 of 3 bad reviews I’ve ever...

I love Jim’s Restaurant in Bartonville, IL and go there with my son to eat breakfast. Whether we wait weeks or months to go in, they are always so friendly and polite. Even if we get busy and do not return for 2 months or whatever, when we order, they always ask my son if he wants “his usual”(which is the large skillet breakfast, 2 sausage Pattie’s on the side, coffee and water.). How they can remember that is beyond me. They always ask him about his kids, it’s like we’re family. As for the food, it’s always cooked to perfection and is absolutely delicious! Also I love that we can order breakfast anytime!! If you are in Bartonville, make a point of stopping in, you won’t be disappointed and will no doubly become regular customers. We live in Peoria but the people and food at Jim’s is so great, it’s well worth the drive across...

Very sweet waitress but HORRIBLE FOOD!! My son's ordered steak & eggs. The steak was gnarly & greasy! Inedible! I had eggs, hash browns w/sausage patties, biscuits & gravy. The sausage was NASTY! Gravy was bland The eggs & hash browns were edible. My grandchildren had pancakes which were disgusting! They barely touched them. When I tasted them, I knew why I would not eat them either! Very disappointing meal & the prices were higher than other places we usually go for breakfast here. I will never step foot in this dive again. I call it a dive because "clean" is not a word I would use to describe this restaurant, plus there was food caked on my silverware!...
