Stopped by on a whim because it looked very local. The place is in a spot I did not expect. It was not busy, the inside was clean. The person behind the counter was very polite and answered my questions.
I ordered a Chicken empanada and was offered chimichurri to go with it. They had several cold drinks in a cooler to choose from.
I sat where I could see into the back. I was able to see them making empanadas. That area was kept clean as well. They seemed to be having fun while they worked.
My empanada was delicious, the chicken, peppers and spices had wonderful flavor. The chimichurri tasted fresh with just the right amount of garlic. I would come back just for that!
The portions aren't big, but neither was the price, under 10 for my empanada and a drink. One was enough for my lunch, but if you are hungry, get two.
If I am back in this area, I would eat here again. I hope with the location, they can survive because the family atmosphere I felt while eating and observing them work took me back a little in time. The food...
