Harbour House — Restaurant in Bass Lake

This place was an absolute waste of my time and money. We got crab cakes, shrimp cocktails and i got the ribeye sandwich and asked for onions, tomatoes, lettuce and waffle fries. I asked that my meat be medium to well. The crabcakes were burnt on the outside edges and soggy in the middle. 3 over cooked shrimps for $15 as an appetizer. My fries were cold and soggy, my meat was well done and no lettuce, onions or tomatoes. A manager asked what was going on cause i just sat there not eating and while i was trying to explain, our waitress Emily showed up and dragged her away. Finally the manager shows up a little later surprised nothing had been done about my food and takes my food away only to return with new fries and the same now cold, well done steak and tells me 'the well done steak is medium to well'. At this point everyone i'm there with is done eating and i'm over it. My boyfriend's steak was rare on one side and medium rare on the other. his side of veggies was served cold and had 2 green bean, a piece of squash, and some unrecognizable mushy other pieces. The manager then asked our waitress to give us a discount. Ladies and gentlemen, Emily the waitress took off $1.60 as a discount from our $130 meal. we still tipped $15. we were there early and it wasn't busy yet. so the lack of service was surprising. 1 star because I can't leave 0 stars. Evening out planned with friends ended in a night that totally sucked. Seated right away after arriving for our reservation. There weren't that many people there so we thought the service would be fast, boy we couldn't have been more wrong. After over an hour, we were finally able to order our appetizers, which were mediocre at best. The entrée came only an hour after that and yet the check only took yet another hour. All in all, 3 hours for terrible service and food you would expect to cost 1/4th of what it did. I spent nearly $150 for two people and will NEVER step foot in this unprofessionally ran so called restaurant ever again. I recommend the Heston in LaPorte, great food at a great price, great service and great friendly staff ALWAYS. Definitely recommend a hard pass on this second rate place that is masquerading as a classy restaurant. Experience with a man who never identified himself as the owner or manager was totally disturbing. BUYER BEWARE...

Our night was doomed as soon as we got there. Reservations at 7, seated by 7:30. Empty tables all around us so don’t know why we had that wait. Drinks came few a far between. Our party of four had about 8 rounds in our 4 hour span, 5 of which we went inside to the bar and got ourselves. Two of the three times server brought drinks they were incorrect. Had freezer burnt wings with sauce on half of them. Then the Wagu burger medium, burnt crispy. Oh, and they don’t know what happened to my wife’s food(which the server didn’t even notice) so her meal came out 35 minutes AFTER the rest of our party’s food. So, it doesn’t end here. They Appologized and said they were short staffed and took off the wings and burger(I ate one wing and spit out the only bite of burger) and half off for late meal.
