Groucho's Deli — Restaurant in Batesburg-Leesville

Just love having a Grouchos Deli out in the sticks of Batesburg. When living downtown Columbia, always liked hitting the Grouchos in 5 Points or out Hwy 378 near Lexington County Hospital. These heated deli sandwiches on the soft hoagie rolls are fabulous. Dip those sucker's in that special 45 sauce, and it's all over! I got the STP Dipper, a combination of roast beef and turkey covered with melted provolone. Chips and dill pickle spear are the perfect sides to the Grouchos sandwich. I couldn't resist getting a side of the greek olives -- love those with a deli sandwich! (Grouchos also has a wonderful greek-style potato salad you must try.) The restaurant is in a beautiful original building. I only managed to get a shot of the menu cover as I was halfway through my sandwich before I remembered to take a photo. Oh, we'll. Next...

Food is pretty good. Customers service not so much. After waiting 40 minutes for my sandwich. Which I didn’t even get. I asked for my money back cause I already went past my lunch break. Manager came gave me my money back didn’t say sorry for the wait. Didn’t try to make it up to me. Honestly I felt disrespected and that he was rude. At least hey sorry for the delay. Nothing cause he knows one customers doesn’t matter. Food not worth the wait. Cook out is just as good. Faster and friendlier people. Not going...

personally my favorite grouchos around.. staff is always kind and accommodating, the food is very good along with astonishing cleanliness:). i called up after making an online order to ask if they could bag something separate and i could feel the man’s positive energy behind the phone, he even joked with my fiancé and i when we arrived. i’ve already gone a couple of times and i’ve been met with perfect standards each time. greeted each time we walk in along with smiling faces. 5/5...
