The River Waterfront Steak & Grill — Restaurant in Batesville

first id like to start off that I'm usually not one to complain, however after this experience I feel like I should say a thing or two, whether this reaches the owner or not. My siblings and I decided to give this place a try after hearing it was good. However what we experienced was anything but good. We had to wait over a hour just to get our food, and while we waited we were only checked up on once, by someone that wasn't even our waitress! They say they were slammed but there was one big party surrounded by maybe 5 other smaller parties and at least 5 waitresses. while we were waiting for our food we kept looking towards the back where the soda fountain is and my siblings and I saw at least 3 of the waitresses sitting in the back eating rolls an talking. My siblings and i were talking amongst ourselves about how long the food was taking when one waitress overheard and immediately went to the back to talk to the other waitresses. We also saw the cooks cooking without hairnets or gloves and didn't see them wash their hands once. After we received our food what we were given was very disappointing. My burger was cold and charred. It was so burnt It was way beyond recognition. It was hard too with how burnt it was, it looked like a lump of coal. Now my sister pasta was also disgusting. It was extremely watered down and just tasted like butter noodles with a slight dusting of garlic. I would also like to note how her chicken Was extremely dry. Also her salad was extremely brown and bad. Now my brothers grilled cheese was alright beside the toast being charred however he still ate it because we were so hungry. Finally after complaining to our waitress she told the manager I'm assuming and they did seem too happy. I understand sometimes places can be understaff and busy as I worked in food service however that was not busy or understaff. they just seemed lazy and inattentive. anyways will not be suggesting this place to anyone or going back there. Would also like to note they attempted to make it right by not having us pay anything, however doesn't make up for the lost time that could have been spent in my sister studying for her midterm. Macie was our waitress she was very friendly and even though very busy checked in on us very often. I left her a tip, But did not tip the restaurant. I pay cash on the tip so it doesn't go to the store revenue. We arrived at 620pm. Waited for about 35 minutes to get seated(655pm) and we were a party of 2 that got pushed back because they were seating bigger parties first. Sat for about 10 minutes before order was taken(705). Waited for 20 minutes before I had to ask about rolls. Wife ordered Chicken. I ordered Pull Pork Sandwich. Food was severed at 727pm. My pulled pork was pretty dry and had to be covered in BBQ sauce to eat it. The chicken was dry also and had to be covered in BBQ sauce to be able to eat it. Also ordered one blue Margarita. It tasted like pure tequila no mix and was pretty strong. Not a drink to be with a meal for sure. Now we are taking the food home to see if the dogs will touch it. My 6 dogs are picky. I ordered medium sirloin steak on my birthday yesterday dinner. When i got my steak it was well done. I automatically informed the waitress about it and so she went to informed the kitchen about my steak she went back and said that they want to see the steak and she did brought it to them. She went back and said that they’re doing my steak. 10mins pass maybe or longer. But she brought my steak and it was medium unseasoned and burn outside. I am not sure if the kitchen did it intentionally out of spike or idk if they’re kitchen is just the worst. I didn’t even want to complain again caught i hate to waste the food.
