Don’t wear shoes you care about, or bring extras with you. The entire walkway from the start of the trip to the end is just grass that’s never been properly cared for. In the grand scheme of things this isn’t a huge deal. “Just wear boots” okay sure, what about the elderly falling down due to lack of mobility and the unsafe walking conditions this presents? Sure it’s free if you drive around, but that means we need to pay and still be punished if we want to walk around? Read moreGrands loved driving thru the walking thru the lights. We went after 9pm on a Saturday night. Traffic was low & we enjoyed the drive 3 times total. Grands were able to walk & see the lights at their own pace without being rushed.
The tractor train ride, carriages, ice skating, etc are all charge items but driving or walking thru is free of charge.
Several good photo opportunities are throughout the area.
Be prepared to walk & enjoy. A frew parking spots are available in the main light areas of Riverside Park. Additional parking is available at the community center & a lighted pathway is across the street by the community garden (next to Ind Co police station complex).
We will be enjoying walking thru the lights again...
