I was looking for a classic Italian restaurant to appease my pasta craving on a Friday night. It was my turn to pick a restaurant with my husband and our best friends so when a customer recommended Tre Belle I was thrilled to check it out. I don't know how this place escaped my radar for so long, but I'm hip now! I made reservations as soon as I perused the menu and was delighted when we arrived and were seated shortly after walking in the door.
Our server Hailey deserves some high praise for her bubbly personality, her extensive knowledge of menu items, and her consistent service of our table. She made our dining experience top notch and honestly thats so rare in these "pandemic" times. So many places are understaffed and underwhelming with slow service and lackluster food items so this was truly a rare treat.
Let's get to the food because OH MY GOSH WAS IT SO FREAKING DELICIOUS 😋 We started with the calamari appetizer which was plentiful and full of flavor. Next up was the side salads that came with our entrées and we all agreed that it was probably the best salad we've ever had in our lives! The crisp organic lettuce, dried cranberries, walnuts, blue cheese, and a knock out house made white french dressing is a combo I'll be stealing for salads at home. It comes with standard balsamic but trust me and switch to the white French you will not be disappointed. The main event, the pasta was hands down some of the best pasta I've ever eaten in Ohio! I chose the truffle mushroom pappardelle and added blackened chicken at Hailey's suggestion. So glad I listened because WOW!! So decadent and so filling! My husband got the crispy parmesan chicken with a twirl of spaghetti w marinara which of course I tried and loved. Best chicken parm ever!!! My friends got the spaghetti and giant meatballs, and the truffle mushroom pappardelle with grilled chicken. Every dish exceeded our expectations and I cannot wait to go back soon. You've made a lifer out of me Tre Belle, I'm officially a fan.
Don't sleep on this place y'all, come see...
Read moreMy wife and I went last night to celebrate our 21st anniversary. The server was very nice and attentive. He was great. My wife got the cheese wheel. She loved it. I got the halibut special. It was mediocre at best. Both came with salad and garlic bread, but we never got our garlic bread. That was disappointing. We love garlic bread. I can't remember what the appetizer was that we got. It was one of their special appetizers. Maybe a risotto ball. With some kind of dome-shaped fried thing with maybe risotto a little bit of meat and some cheese with some sauce. It was mediocre.
I asked if they could do a Mojito, which is hit-and-miss in our area. And he said yes. He came back and regretfully informed me that neither tre bella or next door had any mint. That's no big deal. I wasn't surprised but what was really nice is that he went next door to see if they had mint. So, the server went above and beyond.
We got a super Tuscany red wine. We noticed it's the same wine we get at another restaurant we frequent. It's $20 at the other restaurant, but $52 here at tre bella. And you can get it online for $12. Hey, this is america, and you can charge whatever you want, but a 433% markup seems a little wrong. I'm a business owner myself, and I couldn't do that. That's not the reason for the three star. Just letting people know some wine may be overpriced. I gave the three-star because the Halibut was two star at best. I'm not really even sure how much it costs because I didn't really look at the bill, but it wasn't worth it regardless of what I paid for it.
The creme Brule was delightful, and the espresso Martin's were great as well.
We're definitely going to go back because the wife really wants to.
Next time I'll try to pick...
Read moreI have mixed feelings. While the food I ate was excellent and I would certainly come back, the kitchen was struggling. It took a long time to get our food and their timing was off. We got our food while we were still eating the salad which means the salad took longer than the food order. My table neighbor got a black pizza delivered. My other table neighbor got her food sent to her before her husband's food. Much later he got his food and they delivered his wife a new plate (which she didn't eat). We were all having to get the bartender's attention just to get a drink. My husband got a beer that hit the bottom of the keg (not yet full glass) and she handed it to him and we were charged for it! I watched the bartender spill a ladies drink because it was filled to the top. She went in three different directions running the length of the bar just to find all the ingredients and garnish it and then gave her the drink. She made my drink with no lime in it. Later brought me a lime on a plate. The bartender appeared to be new or just untrained. She was running all over the place and making one drink at a time with your order instead of making both drinks and presenting them. Finally switched to bottled beer to keep it simple for her. Later they added three more bartenders and some woman (manager) running around in a "shorts" suited piece looking in on things but never noticing the problems. I don't work there and I noticed the problems. I'd come back maybe on a weekday instead. For Ken Stewart's they better get their...
